Re: Please Help
TG=not a clan
TG=A community TG IHS(in house squads)=the whipped topping and marachino cherry of our community have fun, read the primer all the docs etc. most IHS are by invite only and you have to be a supporting member. The Irregulars might be a good start. i suggest you look at their forum ![]()

Re: Please Help
You are in. TG is a community and we accept all you want to come and join. We only ask you read all of the SOPs and server rules for the games you play. Join on TS and find a game, or look at the server browser. We only ask that you have fun and enjoy the games
If you are wanting to join one of the inhouse squads, you must be a SM (supporting Member). Welcome to TG and i hope you enjoy your stay

Welcome to Tactical Gamer. It will help immensely if you can free yourself from the concept that people play with teams, and that signing up and aligning yourself with a group is somehow required. Not that you're definitely doing that, but your posts shows signs of heading in that direction. Tactical Gamer is first and foremost a community; a meeting place where like-minded players come together to enjoy their free time. We offer a decent breadth of game support, as we feel that it isn't the game that makes for the enjoyment (though make no mistake, the right games help), rather it's the fellow players that make the difference. Joining the community is as simple as walking through our (virtual) doors and making youself at home. For BF2 (and most games we play) that means join the server and be a good teammate. For the forums, it means posting something meaningful and respectful every so often. Should you wish to delve deeper, other options exist, such as Supporting Membership (should you choose to help foot the bills; perks exist if you're able), In-House Squads (SMs in squad-form), or the Irregulars (SMs and non-SMs in squad form). None of these are in any way required to be part of the community at large. Again, welcome to Tactical Gamer.

[quote=Pokerface;739568]Despite this being BF2-centric, I'll leave the thread here, since the reply cuts across games.
Thank you for the help. I can't believe I just found this place. I believe this is exactly what I and a buddy are looking for. I have 3 tours with BF2Combat, and 5 tours with 21CW. I enjoyed both of them tremendously due to the teamwork, and the guys/girls i played with. However, due to real life and lack of time, I am unable to fill the commitments for those tournaments. ie practice everyday and 12 hour battles. So if I am understanding this correctly. TG say for battlefield 2 is a community that has a server or so. You join up participate in the forums and then log on to TS and the games and play teamwork with the guys on hand. No "official Teams" but just guys who like to play the same type of team oriented game? There are a couple of sub groups but not required to join to participate in the team games etc? Now, if you are interested in the sub clans....do they practice more teamwork? play together? what's the main difference from just showing up and playing like a team and being in a sub group? How much to be a supporting member? I used to pay 21CW to help them. And what does being a supporting member mean and do? Sorry for so many questions but I have been bummed to just play vanilla with a bunch of rambos after playing the last two years with 21CW and such. This place appears so far to be the home I was looking for. Thanks again!!!!! MEF |

Re: Please Help
It looks like they got you straightened out so I'll just say welcome to TG. You mentioned the BF2C guys. We played a couple of scrims against them and it was a blast. They're pretty top notch.
