Unhappy What's happening with PoE2 these days?

I've noticed, as I'm sure most of us here have, that the PoE2 server has seen a considerable decline in population over the last little while. The average participation (just 7.13 players )has dropped to the point where it's almost not worth the time it takes to seed the server up to a respectable level of play. Where is everyone? What's happening here?

I wish I knew. I was hoping to play tonight, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

The only hope POE has is the next patch. If the next patch doesn't bring in the players then you might as well be prepared to move on to something new. Rumor has it that the next patch will be released "soon" but honestly soon might just be a little to late. Plus Armed/A is getting more and more popular along with the QW beta, there just isn't anyone left to play

Re: What's happening with PoE2 these days?

I blame this entirely on me. I have been busy recently and not had the chance to log into the server, so there hasn't been an opportunity for everyone to get easy kills off me. Without my presence, everyone actually has to work for their kills, and it kinda turns them off to playing after a while.

Unhappy Re: What's happening with PoE2 these days?

It is sad to see the numbers go down. Pure speculation on my part, but when new mods or updates come out, people seem to migrate away for a while. Some come back and some are never seen again. I think many people have migrated over to the new PR beta. Hoefully the new maps coming soon for POE2 will rekindle the fire. There was a big resurgence last Monday night after the vanilla weekend and I was sure the games would be full for a while. That didn't seem to pan out.

Re: What's happening with PoE2 these days?

Combination of the following:

- Interest in continuing to play the current content continues to slowly dwindle
- Lack of seeders. They seem to have dissapeared in the last week.
- TGers are very apathetic these days toward joining the server unless they know a good TG presence will be on the server that night. A self defeating cycle even if its understandable these days. This is why Monday worked and the rest of these days have not.
- Fake ranked servers are taking away population. I hate these servers.
- Some server competition hit in the last week.(a decent size community) They take the time to seed cause its new to them.
- New release on the horizon. Good time to take a break.

Well for me, it's a combination of:
- summer
- getting up early for work
- my home theatre project being in full swing

I'm sure we'll see a surge of activity when the new PoE content emerges. I'm not concerned about PoE "dying" at TG, because when people want to play, they aren't going to forget where to go for the best experience.

lack of new content while new games and mods keep coming after sunday I most likely won't be playing until they release something as INS is out

Also - with the imminent release, the testing schedule has ramped up considerably from what was previously just one night a week. A lot of the regular SL's (me, mantis, lucky, etc) aren't around as much due to testing....

And for the record, I'm not worried at ALL about PoE2 at TG

Seems like there are always games to be had in the mid to late evening. Sometimes even the rounds with 10-12 players can be very exciting. Mondays are usually very populated but I am sure you were of that Braid. What's wrong you haven't killed me enough this week????

Whiskey, please tell me why you aren't, because I'm very worried. As far as I can tell it is getting increasingly hard to find a good game. Over the last few weeks, I've hardly ever seen the server full and it is often almost empty. If you know something I don't, please let me in on it

I do, and I'd love to let you in on it!! Unfortunately all testers have Non-Disclosure Agreements w/ the PoE2 dev team

Re: What's happening with PoE2 these days?

Well, Whiskey, I hope you are right. I worry that by the time this long-awaited update gets released most of our POE players will have found other games to play.
