Can't join a NS server

I have Northern Strike installed. I can choose the unlocks from NS but I can't join a NS server.
It gives me a message saying I don't have NS installed. Can anyone help me?

I reinstalled this week, i had to do patch to 1.2 then NS then patch 1.25

I used to have to manually enter the pnkbstrB.exe in my processes in order to be able to play. This handy tool tests your PB set up and is also the proper way to uninstall and reinstall PB.

Yeah, I did the same thing, but I am still getting kicked. I tried the link you gave me, D0ubl3Hel1x, it said everything was fine.

What error does PB give you?

It doesn't say anything. The screen freezes and the menu pops up and a window saying punkbuster. I have opened a ticket at evenbalance, they're helping me out now.

Problem solved.

Solution: delete the PB folder from the game installation, then run PBSetup and let it check for updates. Make sure you don't run PBSetup from inside the PB folder.

Don't want to jinx myself or anything but I had no idea this problem was even going on. Although I do have some problems with some of the NS awards not tracking properly but that sort of thing is not new to 2142 in general so didn't think much of it...

Well, I jinxed myself - I got the PUNKBUSTER error just like Darksteel, but it took 2 hours. I did what you said, with deleting pb in the game folder and running pb setup so I shall soon see how well it worked...

Just had it happen again last night - once again it took like 2 hours though. Game just froze and said PUNKBUSTER back on the menu screen. I already had Punkbuster fully updated so I'm not sure why it happens but it takes a really long time anyway...
