Support + EMP nade = points?
Does the support gain anything from emp nading something?
I understand the bigger picture of the benefiting the squad/side is 'priceless' but just wondering if that actually equals something beneficial to the soldiers stats?

Re: Support + EMP nade = points?
Indeed. Spamming emp nades at walkers and watching them try to rotate around to shoot me 1 degree at a time is quite comical.

Re: Support + EMP nade = points?
The gain is like you said, a benefit to the squad, assuming your aim is decent of course. A month or two ago Lyramion posted a thread "reminding" all of us of the benefit. Since then I've reaquainted myself and at times will spam EMP's at vehicles, and wanted control points to great effect. As for points, you'll get nothing, but they are sure fun to play with.

I carry Ganz, EMP, and IDS pretty much all the time unless I really really need something else (or am playing ProMod.) "Walker West of the flag." "On it." Even on low vehicle count maps they are still useful. And, frankly, the ammo points more then make up for the lack of points in other areas. |

Re: Support + EMP nade = points?
I think hitting players with EMP grenades used to give you points. I'm sure I've seena video of some guy sitting on a building on a knife only server just dropping grenades on guys and having an end score over 100.
Gotta love people like that. Not.

Re: Support + EMP nade = points?
Well, not sure of that, but in any case, you don't get any points for EMP in the current patch.

Re: Support + EMP nade = points?
This is quoted from my 'other' 2142 home:
'You dont get a message that you scored a point, but I promise you do. If an enemy vehicle takes damage while under the effect of your emp nade you will get a teamwork point. Throw down a supply box, spam emp nades on an enemy walker while your teamates rorsch or rdx him and check your teamwork points after.' Can someone confirm this? This comes from a reliable source but '2142 is like a box of chocolates, you better confirm it'

They seem like a bunch of people who I wouldn't trust. Especially after one fo them says: "I will after I spam EMP 'nades in my next knife-only server match =)" ...great eh. But they are probally the world authority on stat-padding.
