Re: Pc details

Not a bad system, However Investing in AMD right now especially on a higher end processor probably isnt the best idea, the 640MB GTS may not be the best idea and unless your running a very high resolution.

And that computer WILL NOT run any game to date and coming. Current hardware is starting to get loaded. that wasn't the case 6 months ago. but crysis is having a hard time and stutters on an 8800GTX at 1280x1024 on high settings. Crysis is a Start in DX10. games after it will definitely become more complex and harder on the system. My GTX has performance problems with ArmA, WHY?. Because the game has a very high particle count. the Ground textures, Explosions, Tree textures, HDR lighting are all very good quality. I start to notice chop in areas with alot of trees extra textures etc.

btw you forgot to add a case.

thats true, gonna go with a Antec case p180 or something equal, and as far as the CPU I might go Core2Duo route, and the GPU Im only picking the Evga 8800gts at the moment cause I will be upgrading my monitor to something like 24" or bigger, and then upgrading the Evga using the step up program.

Re: Pc details

My PC cost me 1,500 up front. It's a great gaming system. Last system I built for under 1,000 was a mediocre gaming system. Medium settings, and low resolution.
