A few reminders before we hit the release date
I'll make this short and sweet. This new PoE2 release has been a long time coming. Players that were starving for new content should come back for a while and lots of new players will be trying the mod out for the first time.(USMC is usually a big draw) With that in mind we expect to have a very busy server going forward. There is always the possibility that our expectations will be too high but I will be surprised if we are not full during most of the extended TG primetime hours and perhaps into a lot of afternoons and overnight hours. Level of activity that the PR servers sees on a daily basis is a real possibility.
With all that in mind I ask for understanding and help from this community in continuing to make this the best place for US gamers to play poe2. - With a larger community and a full server you get a lot more new faces and potential problem players. The admin staff will need the communties help in mantaining a smacktard free server environment. Help us help you and we can clean up the server together. Report infractions. - We may have issues with admin coverage that we will need to solve. Going from a server that sees activity in a short timeframe to potentially a full server most of the day is bound to create holes. If we have issues please be patient and PM an admin of any concerns. We will need to see what level of activity things settle down to after the initial weekend rush and go from there. - Be inviting and helpful to the new faces. Lets see some Learn TG or TGteamwork squads running and make sure to get the word out to check out the forum. The more regulars we create the more healthy our server will become in the long run. - Commanders! - For all the non Supporting Members out there. Please understand that our SM kick script may be working pretty hard for a while. Now would be a good time to take the plunge and pledge support to this community if you can.

Re: A few reminders before we hit the release date
You bring up some very good points Mantis. And a PoE veteran like myself will abide:
1. Problem players will be reported. And remember that identifying players by name will help, since admins will be able to identify thru the script. 2. PM - will do for excessive violations. 3. Inviting and helpful? That's my middle name.... 4. Commanding....@$%&*Q# - I'll try... ![]() 5. Well, since I qualify as a non-supporting member, I will really consider joining since I would guess that non-supporting members might only enjoy the TG server for not more than 5-10 minutes before members have priority (which is justified). Now I am ready to kick some $ss.... |

Re: A few reminders before we hit the release date
To add to what Mantis said, please get on TS so that you can easily report infractions to admins. That is by far the easiest way to get hold of an admin. If you cant have TS open, xfire and even brief reports in chat are effective as well. The better the community can help the admins, the quicker our server becomes the best server.

Re: A few reminders before we hit the release date
I hope the people have a chance to learn of their issues before getting kicked. I had a friend of mine join the server and got auto kicked for not joining a squad. He had never played BF2 a day in his life and was trying to just figure out how to join one. lol.

Re: A few reminders before we hit the release date
Understood.
For the new (and the relatively new, like myself), can we get a quick-reference contact list of the admins who are most likely to be available when 1.7 rolls out? I think I know most of the fellas, but a full briefing would be most helpful.

Re: A few reminders before we hit the release date
I suggest you put up a 2nd TG server without the SQ kick script running, but with an advertisement running pointing to the hard core TG server, that way you can get more players into the TG family.

However, the active admins i am sure will play POE2 are myself, mantis, luckyshot, jmaker, troublesome4u, whiskeysix, beatnik and icky. Tybalt and Fehmart are possibles as well, and I am not sure who else will be playing. If you see an admin in the POE2 channel, ask him first before you ask someone in the PR or 2142 channels because its more likely they will be in game. |

Re: A few reminders before we hit the release date
I'm a little cheap...I'll admit...and can take the heat for it...however, is there any way to join a membership at a lower rate than the 8.95 per month and still get some benefits with gameplay and not be the 1st group to get kicked off a map or be able to join over those (who like me) are not members yet? I would be willing to pay a smaller monthly fee or a one time donation for this kind of benefit. I just hate the idea of not getting to play the new maps over the next week... Are some of the new maps 64 player maps so we can let the most # of people play as possible?

Re: A few reminders before we hit the release date
You'll absolutely get to play Knights...I just put that note there to remind non SMs that during the primetime there is bound to be a lot of SM on and so don't get frustrated if you get removed for a SM. Just rejoin again when a slot opens.
