Titan Reproduction System

Apparently, we have a new method of making baby Titans. And yes, both titans are from the same team. There were 3 titans in action.
Check it out:

As an addendum, this was on OUR titan server. For some reason the NS Titan maps are still loaded up. Might wanna get that checked.

Re: Titan Reproduction System

when i first got on the server, one titan was right on top of the other. the forward gun on the upper titan was blowing up everything in the hangar on the lower titan. you could spawn on both of them and they both had transports and gunships. the AA guns on the lower titan were glitched inside the upper titan and you could shoot anywhere inside. it was hysterical to play with.

Re: Titan Reproduction System

Any ideas on how the heck such a bug could occur?

I've heard of this happening, but wow, I didn't know both were usable and had vehicles/etc.

Re: Titan Reproduction System

Whats even more interesting is that it only happens while waiting for the server to seed.

Re: Titan Reproduction System

I wonder if it's one of those bugs that's actually a feature.

Re: Titan Reproduction System

You know, having multiple titans would be interesting on a map like highway tampa thats jtust massive. It would add a whole new level of depth and strategy to the game. Think about it, when you capture a silo, you have to take an extra couple seconds and direct the missile to a specific titan. Your team could choose to attack both titans simultaneously and divide enemy forces, or you could decide to focus all firepower on one titan and then go after the other. Or you could simply have more silos and all the silos are directed to only hit one of the two titans specifically (i.e. you have 10 silos instead of 5 and the 5 on the east side go for the east titans, the 5 on the west go for the west titans).

Like I said though, this would have to be on massive maps like highway tampa, and for lag reasons, i'd suggest making the titans immobile. It'd be an interesting prospect though.

Re: Titan Reproduction System

You know, a one-way titan match might not be so bad either. The attackers could have a titan while the other's ground-based defenses would be impressive. Dug in barricades, a Goliath or two spawning for the defenders, and completely uneven spawns at the silos. For instance, one silo could spawn two APCs for the defenders and absolutely nothing for the attackers. The attackers would have to cap the defenders out while the defenders would, obviously, need to kill the titan. I don;t know whether throwing a ticket-system on top of that would be necessary, but I think it'd lead to some interesting scenarios.

Re: Titan Reproduction System

Maybe we should write all this up and send it to Dice? They can implement it in the 2.0 patch
