Re: TG Titan Scrim Discussion

From the sign up thread:
"This is a TG scrimmage showcasing the Titan gameplay mode. It is open to Supporting and Non_Supporting members that will take place on Sunday 22JULY07. This is a "Titan" Scrimmage."
Date needs fixing.

Re: TG Titan Scrim Discussion

Yes, but at the point I have quoted in the thread it says July 22 when it should say August 19.

Re: TG Titan Scrim Discussion

I think it important to discuss the Titan movement. How much is too much, is not allowing movement too strict and a waste of resources (guns, drop pods). Etc.

Re: TG Titan Scrim Discussion

I think as long as the titans aren't put too close to each other, and no movement once the shield is down it should be fine.

First I think we need to decide on the map, then decide the Titan boudaries.. if any.

A popular rule that I personally think is fair is to not allow the titans anywhere past the first silo on either side.

Re: TG Titan Scrim Discussion

It really depends on the map. As many of you have played on various maps, each of them is effected differently. The northern strike maps are both extremely laggy if you get the titans anywhere within about 300-500m of each other. However, on Suez and Shuhia, I have seen the titans literally side by side (maybe 50m from each other) with 0 lag reported by anyone (this was on our server by the way). So perhaps we should have a run through once we pick the map, placing the titans at various distances (we'd have to get volunteers to fill up the server, but since it would only take like 5 minutes, i doubt it would be hard to get people) and getting lag reports. just a suggestion, of course.

Re: TG Titan Scrim Discussion

Hey guys, quick update here.

We're going to be moving the date of the scrim to August 25th. There are some POE/PR scrims happening on our original weekend, and we'll be moving the date to free up headaches for the Admin staff here.

Due to moving the scrim date back, I'm going to postpone signups till Tuesday so people can recheck schedules and whatnot to make sure they can still make it.

Re: TG Titan Scrim Discussion

Should we bump it to 25v25 to allow for full squads plus a commander?
