I can't find anywhere online or here in the forums on if ArmA is free? it looks really cool and i want to play, but if i have to pay for it, i may just wait on it. if it's free, where can i download it?

Arma is NOT free. It costs the standard ~45$ (bet you can find it for less). If you mean monthly user fees, there are none.

You may have the abbreviation AA confused with Americas Army which is free.
