Re: 1.08 Hotfix

G'Day Boudreux Sar!

This may be a fix for a problem I seem to have got since 1.08.
ie I now get stuck on ladders where before I had no problems.

Can you confirm this patch is a fix for this problem?
Also as it does not have an unstall option what will happen with any official patch update which I assume will also cure this problem?

This is the only Prob of the 4 listed I seem to suffer from.
I'd like to get rid of the ladder stall but am a little worried about doing it today prior to the main Sunday event.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Re: 1.08 Hotfix

I've got the hotfix installed and played on the Evo server Friday night without any issues. Well, I didn't try the ladder but I didn't get any version mismatch problems. I think it's ok to try it out. When the official fix comes, it'll overwrite whatever files it needs without worry about the hotfix being there or not.

I have been using it since it came out with no problems other than the usual ones I have been experiencing.

You should be GTG, but then again, if it ain't terribly broke, then don't fix it

Re: 1.08 Hotfix

No I had the HotFix installed and I had no trouble in joining or playing.
So for me the HotFix worked fine.

I did do the clear out the map cache before I started this is something I do every week as it also speeds up game entry.

Just for the record I run no mods I only have the TG arm patch added, that's it.

PS. Go G what else got un done when you rewound to last Thursday????
As I say I worked perfectly so I don't think it can be the HotFix???

Re: 1.08 Hotfix

Map cache?

Of course, taking advice on how to 'optimize' Arma from the guy who can't alt-tab or his computer goes critical fission probably isn't a good idea

Re: 1.08 Hotfix

But then my game was rock solid all night and I avoided a maybe issue I was aware of.
I didn't want to crash out in the middle of the game.
Binds now corrected still not tried the alt/tab though but that dosen't cause me any trouble.

Oh the map cache see here >>> http://www.tacticalgamer.com/armed-a...time-load.html

Re: 1.08 Hotfix

Well that's what I was trying to avoid Go G.
I had the ladder prob and the hotfix seemed like a cure but then I did't want to import any nasties in.

Seems like it did for you but not for me, my hotfix worked flawlessly.

Don't know what to say now seems it's good for some and bad for others.
Mnnnnn furrows brow.

Re: 1.08 Hotfix

reminds me of that, "99 bugs in the code" bit(to the tune of "99 bottles of beer")

you fix one and two more appear.
