berezan island 8/7/2007 9pm pst

started out rough but we hung in there XD

spawned in US and told my squad to get out of the beach killzone before the armor came in; we barely made it out and headed on our way to guard station. We turned the flag while beach turned UKR leaving us with just this one flag, but I died just after we got the flag and it turned back UKR. pushed off the island, I spawned back at the carrier, got an APC, and went all along the western end of the map before making a right and going straight for the northwest tip of the island, hoping the choppers wouldn't see me. good memories of dalian plant XD We landed, blew up the apc, and went back for guard station while our other squads played around with air, the tomahawk, and distracted the UKR team for us. I think I saw a squad using the blackhawk? we turned the flag quickly after waiting for the UKR air to leave their main base but after about 5 min we lost the flag from all the armor and air pouring out of their main base. so far a very frustrating game. fortunately the rest of the team got the lighthouse flag and were able to spawn in there. I told my squad we needed to get out and get another flag so we moved along the west coast ignoring the attacking forces and got behind to the listening post flag (?). The squad moved on the flag and we turned it pretty quickly.

this is where the 'fun' began XD for the next 15-20 minutes it was absolutely MADNESS fighting for control of that flag, it must've gone neutral and/or switched possessions at least 10 times while my squad and an UKR squad circled around the building, hid on the roof, waited to steal the tank, while the UKR choppers and armor tore us up. Very tense moments when the flag would flip and I would die only but my squad members did a FANTASTIC job spawning in AT to take out the armor, being sneaky and stealing the armor, or picking up my kit to revive me at least 3-4 times so everyone could spawn back in and save the turning flag. only once did I have to spawn in back at lighthouse to go all the way back and turn the flag again.

Props to the UKR chopper pilots, we hated you kilevrri1 (?) did this weird thing where he'd come over the shed and turn on a dime to shoot into it? didn't witness it but luuser told me about it afterwards. later on even our own littlebird found itself a UKR pilot and came to harass us. mantis, I'm guessing it was your learn TG squad giving us that rough time, with another squad dropping by occasionally i think XD lots of fun though.

AWESOME WORK and thanks to my squad members luuser, barracuda magoo, privatepyle, [bohica]incompetent, eric-187 (?), for following orders wonderfully, great communication, and putting up one heck of a fight. I dont know that clearly how things were going, but from my point of view as a squad leader I was enjoying the tense times when we lost but regained the flag again and again. we lost the round pretty badly, but I had a pretty good time.
