Qwai River 10/8 ~ 2200h GMT
I must just take this oppertunity to say thanks to the guys who were in my squad [at one of my first real attempts at squadleading] on Qwai River. Unfortunately did I suffer a CTD. Dont recall all the names, but Rocketman, Animal, Ghost Dog and the rest of you [you know who you are] made it into an awesome experience with your positive and generous attitude. Not to mention the very productive brain-storming when helping out.
It was clear that the entire team [USMC] was in a state of confusion, but the conduct and discipline [fire] of the squad in the flanking attack from the NW against the Fishing Village was great to see. None engaged the enemies around the Fishing Village, but let them move away [towards Government office?] before a fire-team moved in to secure the flag, with a couple of guys including HAT covering from the high ground west of the Fishing Village. After a somewhat strange ride in the LB did we a bit later end up NE of the Processing Plant [where we were basically the only squad dealing with] and made good progress until the Mine fell and the squad decided to head there. Anyhow, it was great to experience and I do above all wish to thank you for your patience as the CO was constantly sending us all over the map. But despite of that did the squad stay together and intact at most of the times. Btw, cred to the Chineese side this round! Talk about throwing the USMC back!

Napoleon had his Old Guard. Queen Victoria was well served by the Cold Stream Guards. Tactical Gamer can always rely on the 6th Devil's Brigade. "-He has a wife, you know. Do you know what she's called? 'Incontinentia'... Incontinentia Buttocks." |
