Hurricane Dean

I anyone didn't know, there is a hurricane in the eastern Caribbean heading for my island as we speak. I don't know how long but it is inevitable that I will be without utilities for a few days to weeks, depending.

Just want to let everyone know in case I never come back online again, at least y'all will have known why.

On the good side of things, my connection is wireless so if I get back power I should be back online instantly.

So keep fighting the good fight and someone please knife Mantis, Santa and Lucky Shot just for me A few times would be good enough.

Oops, just realized I might have posted in the wrong forum, but as all I play is POE I thought it would be OK, if not please move this to a relevant section.

Re: Hurricane Dean

Stay safe Amigo.
I am in deep south Texas and like Penguineer the path is of great concern to me.
All we can do is wait and see.

Batten down the hatches bro! Hope you make it ok, but I am sure you will. In the realm of things..the internet doesn't really matter.....stay safe!

Re: Hurricane Dean

I lived on the Atlantic side beach of florida for 25 years, so I can definitely empathize. Of course, its the only time we got waves, but....

Stay safe, and we'll keep your chopper warm for you.

Re: Hurricane Dean

I'll try to get a blade in Mantis for you. He'll probably kick me for the team kill because I imagine that's the only way I'll get close enough.

Re: Hurricane Dean

Just found this thread by accident, and I know you guys are probably in the middle of Dean right now, but we'll be keeping you in our thoughts. As you can see, I live in the Florida panhandle--we know all about hurricanes, too. (N.b. Hurricane Ivan two years ago.) We're watching Dean pretty carefully, too.

Re: Hurricane Dean

Well, seems the hurricane passed your beautiful isle and only grazed the south of it, so you should be ok and ready to knife mantis yourself any day now (as soon as the power is restored).
btw, I spent my 10-day honeymoon in Negril last September and had the time of my life... can't wait to come back.... and now you can greet me and my wife at Sanger, .
hope to hear from you soon.

Re: Hurricane Dean

Hope you're ok and get power back soon, Kil !

I went through the "fun" of Hugo, with the hurricane passing directly over knocking down lots of trees and having power out for 8 days. Here, in Charlotte - over 150 miles inland! Yep, it was still a Cat 1 when it came through here - think it was a Cat 4 when it hit the coast. I hate to think what it's like going through a stronger one on an island.
