Re: Good Game

really fun rounds today. Props to XCannon pointing out the people I couldnt see in the tank, TheGreatNardini for squad leading in the first round, and both the COs from the rounds, Warehouse and eGoatBoy. All together, it was fun and we only lost by 11 tickets.

Re: Good Game

Yep that was a good game, I liked the first half especially though it seemed over very quick and my score was better in the second half I think.

Re: Good Game

The second round was much better played in my opinion. If we would of realized that we cant play this like we usually do,I think we would of won.

Re: Good Game (TGvsIGI AAR)

What happened with the chopper, I didnt see much just the unfortunate disconnects. Its not an easy round to play at all, you are the underdog of course with that little chinese heli.
Either way it was good experience imo and we should do a rematch asap

Re: Good Game (TGvsIGI AAR)

Sure I agree but if we played both ways that'd mean a longer game and this one was roughly 3 hours, 4 if you include turning up early for TS

The Chinese chopper?

Well, starting off I headed to Local Temple to spot advancing enemy troops. I called out a boat crossing, then circled around to see how many men were dropped off, but the boat gunned me down with its 50-cal. That earned me a disco.

Then I headed up to help out at Government, but an APC gunned me down. Another disco.

Next reconnect I circled Local Temple which had enemies entrenched, spotting out targets. There was an APC there too and I took heavy fire, returned to base and lost control trying to repair. But that crash did not disconnect me.

I actually did a bit better with the US attack Littlebird. First time up I headed to mine and, after dropping off a SL managed to take out an enemy truck with most of a squad. After that was taken I noticed another truck there and took that out. At one point I was damaged and headed back to Pigfarm for repairs, but lost control and crashed into the other Littlebird, taking out a friendly squad. By then the Chinese were a bit pissed at me and the enemy chopper (much more agile) hunted me down and took me out twice.

My main problem piloting is evasive maneuvers. If I ever take fire that's usually it for me, either going down in the encounter or trying to limp back to base to repair.

Re: Good Game (TGvsIGI AAR)

Sorry about having to drop out of the scrim guys. Im sure i coulda killed 11 guys

Looks like we have plenty of room to improve if we have a second scrim vs them. As far as strategy goes, what are some ideas for what we could do more of? Be more aggressive? Be more defensive?

Re: Good Game (TGvsIGI AAR)

Possibly the best rounds of PR I have ever played. Khaerus did a great job leading squad 3 on usmc. A tank nearly killed us but we managed to hide in the bushes. I was squad leader for one of the tanks during round 2. Ikill4living was an excellent tank gunner. He managed to destroy several APCs and we managed to find an infantry squad with their pants down! (We caught them in the open corn field North of Estate).

Re: Good Game (TGvsIGI AAR)

The chinese helipad is a bit fiddly, its offset and then its next to that container and flagpole. Add in a heli near to death with prehaps no rudder control and its easy to lose it and all the helis land better unmanned which aint right somehow

I agree about the chinese heli being more agile but Im surprised you say so because the littlebird is easier to fly but the chinese one is my favourite because of that.

Being in a squad by yourself didnt help with the kicking there, a bit unfortunate thats how the game is set up.
When being chased I would fly to the nearest large vehicle and hope they have the brains and eyes to aid my cause with some return fire, having voip available helps there too. On the other hand my own team have shot me down with a rocket before now, they didnt recognise the different heli shape/colour/sound, etc

Anyway its a great map. Someone suggested EJOD as a possible map for any rematch and that'd be a great idea I think because its such a balanced map that it does not require us to swap sides?
That would allow the higher tickets and greater battle development and maybe even an absolute win/loss (ie. flags)
