Video AAR: Hammer and Anvil

We forced a stalemate on the Blue team at the river on Fallen and began what we call the Hammer and the Anvil. The Anvil keeps the stalemate position and the Hammer swings around and pinches the attackers against the Anvil. We were able to knock out everyone in the squad short of Thundeer who somehow felt the pressure and backed WAY off. Props to Rockford, Pjaronex, 9th-Draeh, and Khareus for forming the Anvil and to myself and Marstein for flanking as the Hammer. Also, tip of the hat to Thundeer, Luuser and crew for keeping up steady intensity on our positions.

Re: Video AAR: Hammer and Anvil

Yeah I was wayyy south of you guys, used to be right up with the rest of my SMs but ran away once someone spotted you flanking across the river had a few of you in my sights when the anvil came in but can't remember what happened after that. (read: I died) Very nice flanking maneuver! This was our 2nd push on the north cabin from this angle; the first time worked pretty well and we got the flag neutral, so I was pretty sure you were expecting us One thing I noticed from our end was the medics reviving while the enemy troops stood a few feet away; remember to clear the area or back off and wait before attempting those suicidal revives I remember hoping that a squad would push on north cabin while we were keeping you occupied down south.

Wonderful work by cantpick, mastereditor, zap3, bloodline, and luuser for the aggressive pushes on all the flags, had lots of fun that round!

It should be subtitled "Or what happens when you don't use smoke." That video is a great example at the end of the medic reviving out in the open with no concealment. With a little smoke and some revives, they may have been able to pull back. But actually withdrawing from combat when you are in a precarious situation just doesn't seem to register with some folks.
