Battlefield Pirates Mod Stress Test - Support Thread

This is the official support thread for the BFP2 Stress Test.

The acceptance PMs are going out momentarily. The links provided in the PM will be active within a couple minutes after the PM goes out.

Do not, under any circumstances, post the contents of the PM in this thread. If you're having problems connecting to the TeamSpeak server that is being used for this stress test or are having issues downloading the files. You may post your problem here.

This may sound dumb, but where do I save the map files? In the same folder?

Re: Battlefield Pirates Mod Stress Test - Support Thread

You should be able to first install the core then install the maps. They will go in the right place automatically.

Then right click on the desktop and go to new, shortcut. Paste this in the path:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/bfp2 +fullscreen 1

Click next, then finish.

If you want to change the icon then right-click on the shortcut and go to properties. Click change icon and browse to "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bfp2

Select one of the two icon files and hit ok.

I get the error that says my name is already in use. I have tried: |TG| Ikill4aliving, Ikill4aliving, Ikill

Re: Battlefield Pirates Mod Stress Test - Support Thread

I don't see why you can't test it out tonight to make sure it's all working.

As far as the TeamSpeak server goes, the BFP2 guys are running the TS server so any support issues on that need to go to them. The actual stress test isn't until tomorrow, as specified in the e-mail and the signup thread, so I'm not sure if they even have that TS server running at this point in time.

Re: Battlefield Pirates Mod Stress Test - Support Thread

Santa - do you have your BF2 installed somewhere other than the default c: drive? When you run the installer, make sure you match the path to BF2 correctly with the /mods/bfp2 on it. I remember guys having a problem like this and the issue was not having everything in the right spot.

To all - it was mentioned today that many of you guys have to run on ultra low graphics settings in order to play PoE2. Please make sure that when running BFP2 you at least turn your settings to Medium (geometries esp). You dont need to run the dynamic lighting stuff of course. But if geometries is on Low then you will only see the LOD meshes which are used to optimize big objects from far away... this will make many of the walls and interiors of some of our stuff invisible. (And not in a good way either ... LOL)
