as a member of the GC team, it was fun but annoying getting killed every five seconds. You guys owned the air, and had great strategies. Thanks to the players who went on the GC side to make it even teams.

-=AIR SPECIALISTS AAR=-
A Jet Jockey’s take:

Props to Cantpick for dominating Ukr Airpower on Odessa and Berezan. I only had to give spots/audibles and he stuck to them like a piece of wet bologna thrown at a wall. It certainly freed me up to focus on armored columns moving across the bridge and through some of the town's straight-way bottlenecks.

Cheers!

Regarding the F18 on Berezan, I want to explore the possibility of manning up the WO chair on that thing to get some TV guides in play. I think all it will really take is a conscientious pilot, a skilled TVGM operator, and good teamwork/communication to make that thing more of a threat than it is currently. Apart from softening targets up for Cantpick, which was fine, it's not that great at anti-air with only 4 missiles. I pumped four of them into a Hind that was RTB and didn't score the kill, probably because someone was in the back with a wrench at the time.

GGs all!

Re: TG vs. GC POE2 scrim 9/1/07

I hardly had to do any commanding once we had our 3 flags and our killzones setup, so being a tomahawk whore the entire round was enjoyable. I would also like to thank 9mm for trying to get team killed by the tomahawk as many times as feasibly possible.

This is the last thing i saw. First picture is from in game, second from the BR file. Interesting how they are at two different points because of the connection problem, but either way i was jipped out of 1 or 2 kills

EDIT: Props to the GC tomahawk guy. I have no idea how he managed to hit our hind 3 times. Its easy enough to control the x and y axis, but the z axis is damn near impossible.

Re: TG vs. GC POE2 scrim 9/1/07

Yeah, MadCow844 knocked us out of the sky 3 times, very impressive Tomahawk work.

I was expecting more pressure from the GC air, but apparently many pilots were no-shows and they had to fill the spots as best they could. Well played by the GC people though, I saw no whining or complaints from either side, and no issues in getting ready and getting started.
I think it's been the smoothest scrim I've played yet, even with the minor VOIP issue. Thanks to the organizers from both sides for setting it up.

Re: TG vs. GC POE2 scrim 9/1/07

Well... That's not true. I did whine about how I managed to stubb my big-daddy toe on my F22's wheel casing and die moments later from subsequent blood loss. But can you blame me? Anyone who’s ever stubbed their big-daddy toe knows that hurts like a mofo.

And Santa, I'ma yoink that last one for the caption box!

Re: TG vs. GC POE2 scrim 9/1/07

I had an excellent time today, and greatly appreciate the GC guys coming together to play this with us - even if they did end up getting completely dominated.

Major props to our chopper squad on Berezen. Not only did you consistently waste the enemy, but I noticed the response time to situations in need being simply outstanding.

I'm not sure if we'll have another TG All-Stars vs GC match anytime soon, but I hope they consider it!

I think GC would want another scrim...as long as the people who signed up for the GC side would show up and it was between campaigns (like this one).

Re: TG vs. GC POE2 scrim 9/1/07

Well good rounds guys! The 5th or 5thiest squad held the Lighthouse flag as US, Camp as Ukraine and Statue on Odessa. We saw very limited action at the flags we held and inspite of it saw many good things from the guys in our squad.

US Berezan had us botching the takeoff as a jet shot the jeep followed by a Hind. The second time, we grabbed the AA pickup kit, picked up Sawviper and made the same run and succeeded. The 12th and 7th pinched the listening post and we stole the lighthouse from under Ikill4aliving's nose. Our squad was able to play keepaway with the AA kit but also punished the air with James in the fixed AA and with the handheld kit in my hands. Notoneofus was a devastating force in the tank assisting at the lighthouse, camp and eventually Beach flag. His assists at flags that went white contributed greatly to our win. MoreGooder was solid as medic, but more as gunner in the humvee against the couple of infantry we did see. PJ was quick with the ammo and had solid positioning in the lighthouse and Kilevvr1 roamed the flag picking up some easy kills.

For the Ukraine we defended the camp which we initially thought we would see a ton of action. After the first push where MCice's tank suddenly was accompanied by two squads, we lost the flag for a few moments until we could get reinforced from choppers and the Roam squad. Excellent work on that recap. Braided had some key revives, and Boudreaux was a constant thorn in the enemies side as fixed AA. MoreGooder manned a tower MG and was constantly laying fire into the enemy air. PJ was solid as support. Not one of us had another stellar round in the APC supporting defense and attacks at the Listening Post. The area between flags truly was no man's land between our ability to keep their choppers at bay as well as stopping infantry early.

We drove to the Statue and beat the Ukraine team there by just a couple seconds. I haven't seen the BFR yet, but we pulled the flag, manned the armor and set up kill zones around the flag. Dirtboy found a perch on a roof terrorizing enemy air with the pickup kit. PJ and Kilevvr1 owned the area around the flag while Not One of Us and Moregooder manned the armor. Whenever we spotted enemy moving through the area (usually boats dropping people off) the guys would quickly converge and move to eliminate them. Props to the guys who ran through my squads throughout the rounds.

Overall well done to the squad through those rounds inspite of it being slow at our flag (I ended up with a total of 9 kills and 5 deaths after totalling all 3 rounds). Can't wait for the next one!

Re: TG vs. GC POE2 scrim 9/1/07

Yea...I had a GREAT time.

As most of you know, I am normally a Project Reality guy, but couldn't pass this scrim up. Probably the most fun I EVER had playing PoE. The best time was we (TG) were USMC in Odessa, and when we got there we were immediately confronted by the enemy, We took them all out and proceeded to cap the flag. After that, I grabbed the Anti-Air pick-up kit and moved to the roof of the Statue. I shot down several choppers and jets, while damaging most. Meanwhile, Lucky Shot kept calling for supply drops on my location keeping me constantly supplied. There were several instances were the OpFor got a wild hair up their ass and attacked the flag something fierce. We regrouped and assaulted the flag. Nothing we couldn't handle.

I had an awesome time fellas, thanks for having me
