Abusing my commander privileges, as I just made Major General on Sunday!

Proof

EDIT: You might note that ~60% of my time is spent as squad leader, so if anything this accomplishment is because I have 5 people with defibs behind me!

ya know I seem to be stuck from ranking up???? I have like 90,000 points but I still have 4 unlocks I haven't been able to get....why is that?

Brigadier General is the highest rank you can get by points alone, the unlocks that were added by Northern Strike are unlocked by getting Northern Strike badges/ribbons.

From what I understand, the top 200 players are given Major General, the top 100 Ltn. General, and the #1 player Supreme Commander.

No unlocks are given for those ranks

congrats bell, I guess being a good squadleader is how you get the top ranks without being super awesome or a cheater. Too bad I can't lead to save my life.

The top three ranks are random I know someone who has been front page since at least march and I believe has never been major or Ltn, The best theory I've heard is an average k/d over 2, spm over 2, and 2000+ points in a week to get top ranks.

This doesn't seem true at all. You are not in the top 200 overall, and I'm in the top 200 of Canada and I am still Brigadier General. It's a strange sacrificial ritual where someone at EA/DICE stirs a bowl of Alpha-Bits Cereal backwards, and what ever name floats to the top is promoted to the next higher level.

I have been getting consistent kvd of something like 3 in the past few weeks, my points per minute has been around 3 unless its an armor round, and 2 hours per day played.

2 hours * 7 days * 60 minutes * 2 points per minute (factor in for vehicle maps) = 1680 is my guesstimate

You might be right, because I went looking for myself. I just saw that somewhere when looking it up. L1on might have it right.

I remember seeing a recurring message that 'There isnt a new Supreme Commander this week! Work harder!' at the bottom of the game in that info area. Something to that effect, anyways

The only stats I can see putting you up for the award is you SL hours. Maybe only SLs get Major General? (Man am I bored at work).
