Performance and Spec ratings.

I was just wondering what your guy'ses performance was @ what setting on your current setups...

AMD64 x2 5600+ @ 2.9Ghz
Geforce 8800GTS 320 @ 600/920
4GB DDR2 800 @ 1066
Max Res @ 1920*1200

I'd like to know what im getting into before i spend the time downloading the demo/buying the game.

Re: Performance and Spec ratings.

you should be fine...i have similar specs and same rez and i play with everything on high/ultra and it couldnt be smoother. I have an ultra so you may or may not have to tune some things down but not much.

Re: Performance and Spec ratings.

I know 320mb is good for 1680x1050 res's and down, for max settings, I'm not sure how it will handle at your native res.

Re: Performance and Spec ratings.

Im also running Vista Ultimate, which seem's to dumb down my performance a tad bit. But once i get home i'll try it out.

Re: Performance and Spec ratings.

I mean, I use the C2D, and 320mb 8800, quake wars runs great for me. Only performance problems, are the 30fps limit on characters/vehicles. It's really frustrating thing Splash/id did.

I run at full settings, 4 or 8x aniso, and 4x AA.

Re: Performance and Spec ratings.

why do you even bother to ask when you have an 8800?!?! You'll be fine for at least 6 to 12 months before being concerned if your hardware can run a game at excellent settings or not.

My main issue was that im on Vista, and its got a big performance hit to everything.

In XP my 3dMark06 is well above 10k, in 3dMark06 on vista i have to overclock to what im at now (In first post) to even get low 9k.

Unless your using 2000x res, I think you'll be just fine with 320mb GTS.

Re: Performance and Spec ratings.

Core 2 Duo 6750
2gig 6400 ddr2
ati 7600gt 256m

I run at 1280x1024, everything on high and 2xAA. I have not checked fps, but it runs nice and smooth.

Re: Performance and Spec ratings.

For all of those that want to know "Can I run it"?

I'm running it on this:

C2D 4300
ATI 9800 PRO 128 (agp)
1 GB RAM DDR (not DDR2)
XP Pro SP2
160GB WD HDD

If you have anything better than this (most folks do) then you'll be fine.

Re: Performance and Spec ratings.

AMD64 x2 5600+ @ 2.8Ghz
Geforce 8800GTS 320
2GB DDR2 800
Running res @ 1024x768

Everything maxed out, except for anstro and antialiasing @ 4x each. I can run them at full, just prefer them lower, but its not that big of a fps hit.

Btw, does anybody know the console command to show your fps in game?
