award - titan gun destroying

Is there some sort of trick to how you have to destroy the 4 titan guns to get the award? Because I've used an AA gun to destroy all 4 titan guns on other servers at least 3 seperate times and no award. Do you have to do it in a certain way?

kill them more than 4 times, it sometimes doesnt register all of your kills. Just keep going until you get the award

The Titan Destructor Pin? Just like with killing soldiers on the field there is a limit of one point per gun every few minutes. If you destroy all four guns in a row then you'll get the pin, but you won't get credit for destroying the same gun multiple times until a little time has passed. If you're out of guns to destroy then you could keep at it and wait for the time to pass before making another shot at it. Its to prevent point spamming since an engineer on the titan could rapidly repair the gun as fast as you can destroy it. Giving the engineer the repair point and you the attack point and pins would quickly inflate things.

I believe there needs to be people manning the guns as well.

they don't need to manned, just destorying the guns manned or un-manned will get you the pin.

Your method is just about the best method there is to taking the Titan guns out. A full barage of AA fire will take out one gun, provided you do hit it. Just be patient, and the award will be yours. Sometimes, they're repairing the guns after (and sometimes as) you take them out. This benefits you more, as you'll have more guns to take out. I'm not too sure, but the guns don't have to be at full health for you to get the Titan Attack point.

I usually find a nice little covered spot and sit there pilum'ing the guns 'till they are all destroyed. I don't have to worry about getting shot at like in the AAA gun.
