Problems? No admin on?

It's about time I revisit this. For newer players and refreasher for the older players.

With our newest addition to the admin crew, Damonte. Between the 2 of us, we'll have about a 80% covarge rate from afternoon to latenight. But we also do play other games, Here at TG and not at TG. (sometimes my girlfriend yells at me if I don't play WoW enough with her!) So with Demonte and I playing other games, Doesn't mean we can't handle issues that arise while we are not on the server. Both of us run the Command Console from our 2nd computers and allows us to take actions without having to interrupt our games. So bug us if you have a presistent issue going on Vis TeamSpeak or chat reports.

BTW: A small tip. Many of use hate conflict and as a resualt, we don't want to make public reports via chat so we don't have to deal with the conflict. Well fear not! You can place the report in your squad or team chat and we can still read that text via the Command console!

Oh ok, I just guess tonight was the 20% that the admins weren't covering. We could've really used you guys tonight with all the bunny-hopping, UCB camping, and vehicle stealing.

As a side comment, just reporting that an infraction has occurred is not anywhere nearly as helpful as indicating who was doing it as well. If something occurs and you know who did it, please indicate so in your squad or team chat for swifter resolution.

I'm sorry, let me just clarify this: if I get RDX bunny hopp'd by some random pubbie, I can just type into my Squad/Team/Global chat "Reporting <name> for RDX bunny hopping" and an admin will see this even if he is not in the game?
I thought you had to in the actual game, participating, in order to see the chat.

nope as long as an admin is running the 2142cc all chat can be seen by them. just be patient and realize that they could be in the bathroom or getting a drinky but your issue will be resolved, its just like team play on the server, you have to work with the admins so that they can be affective.

The admins have the power but you must start the process.

if people need further refreshing on what to do when you see an infraction here you go.

also don't be afraid to get in TS and hunt an admin down:
1. all bf2142 admins have <bf2142admin> in their name e.g. |TG-3rd| Damonte <BF2142admin>
2. announce yourself as you enter the channel
3. please be polite to all the folks in channel and if necessary ask the admin to go to a different channel (the can move you where ever because they have the power)
4. just be careful going into a competition channel as a competition my be currently in progress but if necessary go in and follow the other rules

Some admins have <BFadmin> in thier name as well. this means they are avail to admin either 2142 or bf2.

Regarding reports. the best way to reach me is often through xfire if I am not on teamspeak.

All global, team and squad chat is visible to an admin who is logged in with the BF2/BF2142 CC. An admin does not need to be in the game to respond. If you prefix your report with "Reporting" or "Admin", we'll definitely take note.

Edit: Last evening (Sep 20th) I was in the Tabula Rasa Beta from 6pm to 3am. Ignoring the reflection of my pathetic life for the moment, I was on Teamspeak for the entire duration. If anyone needed me, I was available. I suppose I just need to make everyone aware of it. As Eroak said, I have a secondary system that I can use to aid the TG folks in BF2142, so please don't feel like it's intrusive on my game time.

Is there a place where only the admin's X-Fire names are listed together? I find it works better, as they get notified of the message and don't need to scan through a pile of chat log.

There's no list that I know of. I have x-fire and still have not used it to date.

There are usually a lack of admins in the early to late mornings (minus the times Eroak and Pfeil are on).

I know I was on the server yesterday morning having a few rounds before finishing up a paper and people were bunnyhopping left and right, the CO would hog the walker and not command. People in my squad weren't following orders (even after repeated squad kick and explanations from myself). I ended up getting on TS, but the two admins that were on were away. For some reason, XFire wasn't working for me yesterday, so I couldn't use that to find PFeil or someone else.

I just ended up just quiting the game due to sheer frustration.

Edit: I'm seem to be the only SM on in the mornings. I seem to have no influence over the pubbies to follow the rules.

Don't worry Acreo, even when there are 3 or 4 8th and a couple of other TG guys in our squads late at night, nothing we do can influence the pubs.

Our admins do what they can, as such they do a great job. I just think they are out-numbered. We really depend on Eroak being on at night, but being only one guy, and having life other than games, he is not on every night. Shouldn't be either. With Damonte now, hopefully there will be less times without an admin.

Thanks Mach. The admins do do a great job, like Eroak and Pfeil, since they have made many mornings a TG morning.

Well, I'll definitely try to remember that squad and team chat also works for reports. Plus I'll have Xfire on as well (right after I do a reinstall).
