People seem to hear me now

OK... I admit I'm pretty clueless at times but...

I was playing today and was squad leader.
I had been giving some orders when I hear something like
"I'm a bit worried that I haven't heard a thing from our squad leader yet."

I go and check. My voice button wasn't what I thought it was.
I had been playing all the way to master sergeant (or whatever I am) and all the communication I had been doing (including as Commander) was to only myself because my Voice button wasn't what I thought it was.

Feel free to mock me now.

Re: People seem to hear me now

First time I ever played bf2 i hopped into a troop transport chopper and ended up in pilots seat. it quickly filled. the flight lasted about 12 seconds as I flipped the chopper into another chopper filled with guys. I took out about 18 guys at once and was instantly banned from that server.

I love being a n00b. Don't sweat it.

LOL I just think it's funny thinking about the 4 hours of commander time and who knows what else babbling away at... NO ONE.

Oh ahahaha, that's rough mate. Had me a good laugh at your expense just now

Oh, and Skylark, I'm pretty sure I heard you talking just a couple of days ago. You didn't do a whole lot of it, but I definitely heard you.

Oh man thats funny! Hey if you ever said really stupid stuff and ended up wishing you never said it...
I forget who I was in a 3 man squad with and I held the button by accident and I referred to picking my nose. Their response was silence and then thats gross! Come to think of it why would I say that?

I know the feeling, I once took a 20 minute long video of my cousins birthday party, only to find out that I hadn't been recording at all.

Yh, first time I got C4, I got overexcited in the reactor core and killed 10 people, (all my own, none of the other teams), they ended up being able to defend their titan and we lost, and then I was banned for over excessive TK, not TK, not excessive TK, OVER-EXCESSIVE TK FFS.

Re: People seem to hear me now

Just tonight I threw a grenade at a body I thought was a prone enemy. Turns out it was CapucinoBob getting Defib'd by Vladd (or reversed perhaps). Good thing they have forgiving hearts (and fingers, *phew*).

Re: People seem to hear me now

Don't fret over it, dude. It happens to all of us at one point or another. I've killed friendlies before thinking they were enemies, was killed by enemies thinking they were friendlies, and all sorts of twisted messes.

What matters is that you've figured it out. I have no doubt you'll go far as a good squad leader - and I look forward to seeing you in the server and playing with you!

Well, if nothing else at least he's consistent.

Re: People seem to hear me now

Noob stories? How about something I still do: play a couple matches as one team (PAC/EU/whatever), then get switched in the next round to the other team without consciously making the switch in my head. I either teamkill with murderous intent or run around with the other team not realizing what the hell I'm doing.
