Team Fortress 2 and Quake Wars: Enemy Territory debut at Tactical Gamer

This coming fall and winter holds a very promising release schedule for the gaming world with numerous titles coming down the line. To kick the festivities off, Tactical Gamer is pleased to announce support for two new titles; Team Fortress 2 and Quake Wars: Enemy Territory. These two new titles are just the first in a string of releases to come that we plan on supporting. As you venture into these new games, please do your best to uphold the Tactical Gamer standards and be a constructive contributor to these environments.

Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2 is still currently in beta and has not yet been officially released, but Tactical Gamer is pleased to say we currently have two beta servers online. Some of the kinks are still being ironed out in the game due to its beta state but it’s certainly a great game and a fun time to be had for all. In order to participate, download the TF2 beta through Steam and then hop on the servers!

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars was officially released to the public today. We have brought a 24 slot ranked server online and are ready to go! We have not yet formed an official admin team but that is currently in the works. Please be patient as we get this title up to speed and work out the kinks. If you don’t already have ET:QW, ordering it today!

Man, collectors edition of ET is really slick. Comes with a small spiral book, with each map layout.

I told my gf to get me the regular version, she came back out with the collectors. Oh well, the folding case style is nifty I guess. Reguardless, the desktop map guide owns.

Looks like it won't be until tomorrow morning. The developer isn't getting back to our GSP with the updated binaries for Windows servers. If things are not resolved first thing in the AM, I will put up an Unranked server until the Ranked server binaries get fixed.

I'm not sure how ranked and unranked work on this, in the original ET, your experience saved as long as you stayed on the server, then as time passed, servers started making it where it would save always. Any idea on how the system actually works this time around?

Only thing I can tell right off bat, are the stats for the ranked, but nothing else.

I'm honestly not sure. In any case, it looks like its online if someone wants to give it a shot.

Please seed our QW server, it needs some love too. Anyone that is playing TF2 that was interested in QW, retail is TONS better than the demo. I'll be juggling both games, I know their fun!
