    ARMA2 Basic Infantry Training [3 Dec 09, 2100 est]]

    Alright, let me start by saying that this particular training WILL NOT BE A WASTE OF TIME. I am not one of those people who enjoys teaching others how to "Left Click" to fire and I am not going to teach students as morons as though they've never played a video game before. I assume everyone knows the basic mechanics of the game, therefore we can start to cover the 'Real Information'.

    If you plan to attend, you must adhere to the following conditions:

    1) Conduct yourself in a professional manner throughout;

    2) Have an open mind to new concepts and skills;

    3) Discipline; and,

    4) Ensure you have a pen & paper readily availible to take notes as required.



    The following is a course outline:



    1. Introduction.

    2. Communicating Contacts
    a. CONTACT
    b. Bearing (Clock Ray, Direction,Cardinal/Degrees)
    c. Range
    d. Target Description

    3. Groupings and Tasks
    a. Explanation of Fireteam Tasks
    b. Dividing Into Fireteams
    c. Explanation Squads/Sections

    4. Formations.
    a. Wedge/Arrowhead
    b. Line/Extended File/Line Abreast
    c. Column
    d. Staggered Column
    e. Echelon Left/Right

    5. Actions On In Formation [SOP]
    a. Wedge/Arrowhead.
    b. Line/Extended File/Line Abreast
    c. Column/Staggered Column
    d. Echelon Left
    e. Echelon Right


    6. Basic Tactics/Hasty Attacks
    a. Bounding Overwatch
    b. Frontal Attack (Assault Group/Fireteam Level)
    c. Flanking
    d. Eggressing
    e. Tactical Withdrawal (Peeling)




    I do not like to waste my time. Do not waste my time if you attend. The information covered will be very applicable throughout your time here at TG either within ARMA 2 or other similar games.

    Do not be afraid to attend, the course will be run in a manner that is conducive to a learning atmosphere so as to maximize comprehension and retension. I will not allow interuptions or disciplinary issues, Smacktarding and Teamkilling can be done on your time, not mine.

    I went through the last one offered here but I would like to attend this one also as it covers a bit that time did not allow last go round.

    Having said that, I do not want to push someone off the list that has yet to attend one as they could benefit from it more than I. So feel free to put me in the Reserve list and I’ll be in TS to fill in an empty slot that day.

    I always enjoyed getting insights from combat veterans from my Beaver loving northern comrads so I'd be happy to join this class as I've always liked the realism that Zedic brought to a mission when he's leading.
