Day of Doom - September 16th, 2007
September 16th, 2007
After the so called "Day of Doom" my squad of super awesome guys was ordered to clear out some towns held by commie bastards along the north and south coast line of Northern Sahrani.
My squad included the following:
bobik - Squad Leader/Commie Killer
Fiddlestx - Medic/Team Dynamics Expert
codeblue - Anti-Tank/That one guy
Ivan_The_Bad - Squad Automatic Gunner/Laughing guy
Billy_The_Inorganic - Sniper/Beginning driver
Riyker [=TE=] - Squad Automatic Gunner/Wisecracker
Leezor [=TE=] - Sniper/Recon guy
Jex [=TE=] - Pilot/Guy who did the most boring job
DudeMan [=TE=] - Squad Automatic Rifleman/Commie Supporter
|TG-12th|Shafik [Dragoons] - Infantry Leader/Jumped out of cover at the worst moment guy
rcpro8=US= - Rifleman/That other one guy
|TG-IRR| VIPER - Rifleman/Rally Racer
Raptor - Spotter/Another one of those one guys
Vulcan - Rifleman/ANOTHER one guy
|TG| Blackmain - Rifleman/You can always use another one guy
|TG-IRR| Sam Hoy - Rifleman/Anti-bobik
A photo of the squad taken with a camera from a smoldering Saharni civilian corpse is the following.

This mission went absolutely great. Low casualties for each town and we even managed to take one with no casualties in a daring hilltop battle. A big good job to all those involved.
Some highlights included:
1. Everyone getting pwnt in the first paradrop over the first town.
2. Fireteam on a mountain raining hell upon the second town.
3. Perfect assault on the third town.
4. Evil Russian tree mine blowing up Jex's chopper.
5. Fiddlestx being hit in a face with a m136 and taking it in stride.
6. Shooting m136 rounds at a Sahrani castle monument.
7. Ambush outside the fifth town in the 5 ton.
8. Epic final Everon firefight.
9. Just about EVERYONE staying for the WHOLE mission.
If anyone wants to write a full AAR, go ahead!

We need to do stuff like this more often

The hungry, ignorant man immediately grasps that he is handed a fish, but is bewildered when handed a net. The man who shivers in the cold thinks happily of the man who invites him to sit by his fire, and somewhat poorly of the man who loans him an axe, flint and steel.

i honestly think last night was the most fun i've had playing arma. its not often that you get this many people playing all at once ,and playing a mission thats enjoyable and takes time. I love the rally racing aspect that has been included in arma, never did i imagine that a 5ton could take corners so well haha. Oh, im the guy in the officer uniform... thought i'd point myself out.
yeah i left during the final town because we ended up having a game of 2v2 nerf gun fight in my apartment. thought i'd put my arma skills to use haha
Request: perhaps the evo server should be "down" more often. haha

DudeMan [=TE=] commie supporter love it, very good games lastnight bobik, we put a couple of pictures of last nights photo op in our arma forums also,
really enjoyed last night, especially that first mission when i got like 15 people with the saw in one town just firing down clip after clip, i think i used about 5000 rounds last night.... it was awesome.

Re: Day of Doom - September 16th, 2007
It was alot of fun last night, everything went smooth for the most part. Next time bobik needs to aim a tad bit higher though

The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.
