    Editing with dual monitor setup

Not sure if this is the best place but i am running dual monitors, one with arma2 running and the other with an editing guide running. The problem i am having is a technical issue in that in the editor mode you can switch between the two screens but in order to scroll through the editor you have to click on it and when you do ArmA2 minimizes. Anyone know of a program or setting in Vista that prevents this from happening?

Rather strange topic but your guys know best!

I believe a window has to be "in focus" for the scrolling to work.
I'd love to hear if there's a solution to this too Viper.
It would change my computing habits completely !

It's nice having the guide on one monitor and running the editor on my primary, but it bugs the hell out of me when ArmA minimizes when the guide is selected so i can scroll.

    Perhaps someone has the solution.

Are you playing in windowed mode? I don't have my second monitor set up yet but I play windowed and click out or alt-tab out all the time. Mine never minimizes. So if it's not in windowed that could be it?

I have 2 monitors and run arma in window mode (so i don't have to alt-tab and to save my FPs bby running at a lower resolution without quality loss, just smaller viewable area).

No i don't play in window mode.

What happens is that my primary monitor runs ArmA2 and the secondary has the editors guide. Now, while in the editor i can move my mouse between both screens (pretty neat), but when i click on the editor guide, ArmA2 minimizes and i don't want that to happen. Sure, if i run ArmA2 in window mode this won't happen but i'd rather not.

There is no other way... Either window mode or put up with it.

I don't think it is avoidable.

Window mode kills my frame rates. I tried something similar running TS on one monitor and full frame ARMA on the other. Just like you whenever I clicked over ARMA minimized.

Running in window mode is pretty simple and you just need to add some text to your start up path. If its only to use during while your editing it might be worth it to suffer the FPS drop. Just a thought.
