    New Nvidia beta drivers 169.1

Solved many problems for me in Vista64 with an 8800 GTS

I can even crank the view distance up without much penalty in fps

I had installed that a day or two before the new nvidia drivers came out and didn't notice any change...it's definitely the new drivers that have improved performance in my case:

It's always good to keep up to date though

I have tried out 169.04 beta and it causes graphical problems at night. Once the sun is up it seemed fine. There is a new driver out 169.09 but it is pretty much geared towards fixing Crysis issues so it may have the same problem as .04. I have reinstalled 163.75 to see how things work.

yes I also had problems with mine, when I would boot up after the install my screen would go blurry and lock up and when I tried to reboot in safe mode it would not allow me to so I reverted back also to the 163.75

One step forward two steps back it seems with these 88 series cards and Arma for me at least. I have about a 95% chance of crashing, freezing or graphical problems with Arma currently.

I also went back to the 163.75, I had too many issues with SLI and ArmA on the new ones.
