DDR2 Memory and Vista
So I just shoved in another couple of gigs into my Lappy RAM, so I am now running 4gig of the latest and greatest PC2-6400 DDR2 800mhz x2 sticks.
However...I am finding that ArmA2 seems to be running slightly slower????? with more lag?
Suggestions?
I just reinstalled my Nvidia drivers (8700GT, 256MB) and I have a Intel Core Duo (crap I know)
I did Jorges -mem function and that improved things a bit, but it's almost as if the old stock 2Gig was performing better?
Do I need to do something with my Vista32 (other than bin it!). I am only getting 3.07 gig of my 4gig RAM in actual usage due to Vista32's limitations.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated!BlackDog1

Re: DDR2 Memory and Vista
It can be that your system is creating a bottle neck where you fast memory is not coping with youre slower cpu. Also try to play arround with your bios settings. You might have a few options there.
The best advice I can give you BD is to upgrade the cpu.

Yeah I suspect the CPU is the problem. It's a T7100 Core Duo running at 1.8GHz. Bis Recommends a 2.0GHz CPU minimum and so I am thinking a CPU upgrade may be in order?
