I think I picked up a virus in Yoma

shortly after updating all my file in Yoma today, i got trojan disguised as a virus proctection program called Malware Defense, it keeps trying to delete my McAFee Security and is constantly reinstalling itself after i uninstall it, i ran a Quick Scan but that didnt pick up anything so im in the process of a full scan

Yoma will only give you viruses if the host you're syncing from does.

i figured out the problem, it that stupid Windows Security, they make false reports of viruses getting into your computer so that you download their "FREE Software" which is actually a virus itself, so they send you adds to go buy their real virus protection program so that ull go buy it, its happened a few times b4, but usually only when i visit this site, must just be a coincident

You might have easily picked it up somewhere else, and it only shows up periodically. Another wild guess is one of the ads here.

I think it is one of this site's ads. I got something similar a few weeks ago. Abode reader popped up and said something. Next thing I know, my computer is opening a "pdf" but it was really installing a virus. The next time I turned my computer on, I had a virus. I just reinstalled windows and that fixed it.

Just do a system restore. Thats seems to work wonders for me

I was just messing with you man.

It is possible to remove that without a restore, but you'll end up spending almost as long as you would if you were to just do a restore.

A restore might boost your performance a little and eliminate junk that has a tendency to accumulate in ones system.

    Good luck.

P.S. - These damn ads are getting on my nerves

Many ways to block them... One of the reasons I use Opera is the easiness of doing that on it: Right-click anywhere, click "Block content", click on whatever it is you want to block and click "ok". Done, no more ads from that particular source.
