ATI 7.3 Catalyst Drivers released
http://ati.amd.com
Some users report this has cured their memory handle leak, and random crashes (which is my problem at the moment).
Not tried them myself yet, at work.

Re: ATI 7.3 Catalyst Drivers released
Installed last night. I plan on having some gaming time this weekend (first in a month) so will report my results.

Re: ATI 7.3 Catalyst Drivers released
How are you finding these drivers Shiner?
I run the game at 1440 x 900 (but no AA or Ansio - find I don't need them at this resolution).
Game still slows down over certain areas but on the whole, I think there is a slight improvement over the 7.2's. Frustraitingly the game still crashes on me (totally crashes - to reboot) approx 30 - 40 minutes into the game (including after a reboot, or the next reboot ad infinum) Hence the reason for not playing on-line lately, no point being part of a team if the "unreliability" factor presents itself.
I was thinking along the lines of the card overheating. But I can play GT Legends all day long running a Logitech G25 setup with no problems. The same running Prem Pro and piecing together the latest family yawn-buster. Plus all the other programs/apps/games (F4AF,Lock On)!
Totally unrelated but here are two observations made during a home made "fly about" the Island this afternoon.
1. The Ammo truck re-supplied my AH-6 once I shut down the engine but only did a partial re-supply with it running.
2. Team Speak Overlay. Ran without any stutters or FPS loss WITHOUT TS running! (Go figure). So I tried a quick experiment and reduced the bandwidth used by TS from Unlimited, to 128k - However, no noticeable improvement. The Game still staggered along if I had both TSOL and TS running.

On further investigation of ArmA Crashing. XP Event Viewer (Applications) reports the following (after the crash). Doesnt matter if I am running Beta, or 1.05

Re: ATI 7.3 Catalyst Drivers released
It is an unhandled exception thrown from ArmedAssault.exe. Without any source to trace the line I doubt you can get much out of it.
The fault address is the memory address that was pointed to when the fault happened.--
VI VI VI - the number of the beast

Re: ATI 7.3 Catalyst Drivers released
I haven't noticed any change, but arma runs nicely on my machine regardless. Played about 8 hours today with only a single crash that ended my gaming.
