Re: Need help: CTD or complete reboot about an hour into gameplay
Just an update for those who may be having problems with Arma doing the CTD:
Uncheck Audio Harware Acceleration if its selected. Worked like a champ for me on my P4 rig.
But even better:
Upgrade your computer...Houdini's now sporting a new rig!
Built it yesterday...spent most of my after work hours today getting everything loaded. First time working with an ASUS motherboard.
Anyway...here it is:
E6700 C2D
ASUS P5N32-E SLI
EVGA 8800GTS
2.0GB of that there Corsair RAM with the pretty lights that mesmerize me
Antec 650W PS
Antec 900 Case with 3 120mm fans and a huge 200mm fan on top. Pretty sweet.
Samsung 22" Widescreen LCD with (2ms response time!)
Not overclocking yet...I'm too scared! LOL!
Hopefully I'll be able to play decently now.

Re: Need help: CTD or complete reboot about an hour into gameplay
Am having the same probs with Arma (system crashing).Have isolated it to a driver conflict (mpu-401 compatible midi device). Unfortunately when I disable this in device manager ventrillo or teamspeak audio doesn't work. I will try disabling hardware excel in game. Have heard of a fix from 1stMIP John concerning disabling ingame voice by accessing ARMA exe target (Properties quick launch icon)and adding-disableVoN=1 at the end but windows or the game wont recognize the target with that added? Any ideas?
P.S. Houdini , I had my share of "puterdrama" till I totally rebuilt my rig! You and I share the same mobo and ram although I kept my Audigy 4 and my video card is a BFG 7950OCE. Also my mobo is SE Deluxe and I'm not sure what the diff if any is but it's good to know others with the same board!Last edited by curtagain; 07-08-2007 at 12:31 PM. Reason: P.S. to Houdini
