ANNOUNCEMENT - Armed Assault Ribbons

It is official, ArmA is now part of the ribbon award system for achievements in game. Thanks to the help from Root, we are able to now start awarding these ribbons for ArmA.


The awards available for ArmA are:

Distinguished Air Cavalry
Distinguished Armored Combat
Distinguished Platoon Leader/Commander
Distinguished Defense
Distinguished Jet Combat
Distinguished Squad Leader
Distinguished Support
Distinguished Tactician
Anti-Tank Specialist
Assault Specialist
Demolitions Specialist
Medic Specialist
MOUT Specialist
Recon Specialist
Sniper Specialist
Spec Ops Specialist


Anyone at Tactical Gamer can recommend someone else for an award. What is required when submitting a recommendation for an award is the following information at a minimum:

(EXAMPLE)

Name: Strag

Specific award: Air Calvary

Date/period covered: 13-20 May, or simply a specific date

Citation: During the week of 13-20 May, Strag performed in an exemplary manner while serving as the attack helicopter pilot during Evolution (if you can cite a mission, it's better). He provided Close Air Support while flying the AH-1 helicopter, killing 42 tanks, 10 BRDMs, 6 BMPs, and only 1 school bus full of children. While flying, he was constantly communicating to his counterparts on the ground and not once did he crash his helicopter into the side of a building. He constantly demonstrates his skills as a pilot by assuming that role without question, being that he is best qualified to perform that task.


Once you've written a nomination, please send it via Private Message to Ribbons for review. If the nomination is then deemed to have merit, an announcement will be made in the Tactical Gamer Awards Presentation forum. The same process holds true for the various site-wide specific awards that are mentioned in that forum.
