Arma and Audigy
When I first installed Arma I experienced a few things that would cause my os to crash (blue screen driver conflict) and Arma app to crash. I was advised to disable audio hardware acceleration and EAX and this seemed to work for my Audigy 4 sound card. Open AL has just released a update (I did)and I heard from JAmerica that the Audigy EAX capability is a older less compatible with ARMA version than the EAX capability with newer Creative cards so following his advice I renabled audio hardware acceleration but kept EAX disabled and this seems to work for me and gives a little increase in fps until I get a XFI Extreme Gamer Fatality. Hope this helps someone.

Re: Arma and Audigy
Do you have a link to the update? I checked the OpenAL page and there hasn't been an update since July.
The July update was necessary for me to run ArmA since it kept crashing when I tried to run ArmA. (Vista 32-bit, X-Fi)

Yeah Sarc..that's the one.
I installed it back in July and it solved many, many issues with my X-Fi as well.
BTW, there is a new beta driver for X-Fi cards here:
