Re: TrackIR4 Price Drop
Right - it's active without needing any key presses. You can bind special TrackIR keys (through their software) to pause or recenter the TrackIR on demand, though.
The Youtube version is available now:

I recommend the other one, linked previously, simply because that clarity is many times better.

Re: TrackIR4 Price Drop
OK I won't...

But sad fact of the matter is I did. I was looking for a cheaper shipping alternative but couldn't find one...
Guess on the plus side I should have it in a few days (providing it doesn't get tied up in Canada Customs as some sort of terrorist spying device
) anyway.
Thanks for the kind offer. Next time something like this crops up I'm definitely gonna be looking for help.
/edit to add thanks
And thanks for posting the video. After watching that I am really looking forward to getting this rig hooked up even though about the only games I play are FSX , IL2 , Armed Assault and some PRM.
Then I too shall be able to keep a chopper in the air for more than 33 seconds (record so far
) cause it looks like it makes flying those things a whole lot easier..
Seriously though , it really does look like it adds to the immersion and along with the VAC , will make simulators a whole lot more interesting.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.Last edited by BeerHunter; 08-02-2008 at 11:47 PM.

Re: TrackIR4 Price Drop
It feels a bit strange at first guys, but I can't live without it in any flight sim or ArmA now.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Stay Awesome!

Re: TrackIR4 Price Drop
There is also a Canadian distributor for trackir. While you won't get it for $114, they do have it listed as $149 CA, $18 S&H.

Re: TrackIR4 Price Drop
Do you know of a cheap way to either ship or purchase trackIR in Europe or rather scandinavia?

ArmedA and TrackIR
Well got it on Wednesday so guess in a way the exorbitant shipping costs were worth it though I could have used the $80 for other things (ie: beer , smokes ).
Fired it up and tried it out...going to take some getting used to I think.
Played about 10 minutes and was feeling a little nauseous..ever time I moved my head to hunt for a key of course the scenery swooshes around..almost make you a little dizzy.
All in all though it's gonna be a handy little toy. Not only for ArmedA but for FSX and IL2.
Tie that in with the VAC system and you can almost sit back, drink beer , munch potato chips while you drive/fly around the maps blowing things up.
Highly recommended.

How about putting this post into the previous thread, since it's a continuation of a conversation that was happening in there? (plus it retains the benefits of having links to videos on it, other owners' feedback, etc)
