    Operation Calm Storm - Game On

    Hello All,

    Would like to a get a large group to have a go at this tomorrow (Sunday). We just loaded the new version and it would be nice to see if you fellas can get further than Dolores this time!!



    Game will start at 11am PST - 1pm EST - 7pm GMT!

    Game will be on Server 1 allowing others not in the game to play server 2.

    Hopefully see you all tomorrow!

    Ahhh ..

    I will be out shooting people at that time.

    Probably be back by 17:00 EST however.

    I HOPE you still aren't playing the same mission then



    If I make it in time, I'll give it a go, after we can try out my new mission, Operation Gloria. It shall be glorious!

    I'M rusty as hell and will need pointing at the targets but if that's ok with you put me in.

    Now let me see the wooden bit of this gun goes next to my sholder right.
    Now what does this little hooky thing do that has some sort of guard around it.

    Hole in the tube is pointing at my big toe.......... playing with the hooky thing ................... BANG ....... YEEEEEOOOOOWWWWWWW.


    Joking aside I'd be very happy to join in but will need some time to get up to speed again.
    I think I've sorted out some of my favoured keybinds, but I'd prefer to have my mg SAW or riding as a gunner on a Hummer with an m19 nade launcher supplying back up - covering/ suppresion fire. I think my CQC skills will be some what weak not least because I'm having to think what key does what again.

    I'm hoping Grunt gets his saggy a__e on here soon for an early dash and try out, said he might be on 8-9 EST but it's half past 2 here in the UK and still no show ----- oh glum is me:¬(

    OK, in game and posting on the laptop... this is going, well, to be interesting. The convoy has just been reformed, after Charlie lost track of their position and had to rejoin. I'm not sure how long we've been in game but I'd estimate close to an hour or so. We are about 2/3 of the way to the initial rally point. Part of the problem is that we went off road and then found that not all squads have GPS(!).

    Yeah, server is locked, I tried to rejoin after having a major bug with the revive script. It is a promising mission though.

    ...if you like blundering about in the dark, playing a giant game of blind man's bluff on the great two way rifle range, it's fantastic. Just got killed trying to find the pilot. We did have some comms problems. Viper was not able to pick up any side channel comms at all so comms to our squad was somewhat fragmentary. Barnaby lost connection, was able to reconnect at the air base, and was stranded for lack of transport... apparently there was a tractor there but it had a tire shot out.

    Yeah aint war sh-one-t. LOL

    Well first reall big time mission for me for a long time but I can say I been away too long.

    Thanks to you guys who helped me out and little by little I was remembering things.

    I'll get some more missions under my belt before the next major mission outing so as to be more capable.

    To you gents who set this up and took on sl work cheers you made it very interesting.
