How many people can play in game before the game crashes? I know bf2 the max is 64

64 is the amount of player that ea have set for the game
NOT to prevent crashes.
im sure its the same with arma that the number of players has been set and you cant go above that.

No hard limit AFAIK.
Most I've ever seen was 110 on an IC-ArmA server, wasn't in game personally, just saw it through game tracker ...

Mid-Week-Battles had the largest amount of players I experienced at one time. I think we had it at 90 players total. It... wasn't very stable.
The amount of players the server can handle depends on the hardware.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

123 players is the record set by IC-arma, that was 3h lag free game (server locked during gameplays as any connects could have crashed it)
