Thanks mate! Just jumped on for a while on server 1 and our APC got RPG'd about 1/3 of the way in, unfortunately no respawns or jip's so seagulls it was lol but up until then it was a fantastic experience..so refreshing to actually see and be a part of team-play in a MP game for once! Will be enjoying this a lot as I progress with the game.

Hey man, it's always good to see new blood in ArmA. If you are looking to fly then here are a few ideas of how to pick up experience. When I first got ArmA I just practised in the editor, placing a single chopper and flying around, its probably the best place to improve your handing of the helicopter. City Life/Sahrani Life were really useful as a place to practise flying for me. I haven't played either in months but I found that as a pilot you can practise your control of the aircraft when you are chasing down cars or landing guys on roofs (or even smuggling drugs ;-)) and you don't face much in the way of anti-air defences. Then if you really want to challenge your flying skills sign up for one of the large TvT ArmA tournaments. Players are much better enemies than AI, even if some are annoyingly good with tanks - if you think you are up to it then give me a message on here, I am always on the look out for skilled pilots.

I am not 100% sure which version you are running but if you are running 1.08 you can go straight to 1.14. Then install the 1.15b patch. The beta patch works alongside your normal arma, so you can easily switch between beta and normal arma.

To check your version of ArmA look in the bottom left corner of your screen.
