Attempting a return
Hello again, TG! Been a while.
I'm currently in the tedious process of reinstalling/updating ArmA and downloading all the needed modifications. Am I correct in assuming ACE takes care of everything, or are mods such as CSM (for sounds) and SIX (various modifications) still needed?
I have various other problems, like a faulty sound output and a shaky connection, but I've waited too long. I wanna play.
Hope to see everyone (veterans and newcomers alike) on the servers!

Re: Attempting a return
Yes, ACE covers a lot. The addons posted as needed for the server should do you well.

Re: Attempting a return
Here's what we've got up and running:
http://www.tacticalgamer.com/armed-a...s-running.html
The links there should provide all that's needed... Afghan/Avgani may have some unusual install steps but there are some threads in the ArmA Tech Support forum. If you have any problems, don't hesitate to PM or holler at someone on TS.
Good to see you around and looking forward to seeing you on the server!

Re: Attempting a return
What about communication? Have we switched to ingame VOIP full time or is Teamspeak still required/used?

In game VON is used for game communication, but you are encouraged to come on Teamspeak too Teamspeak is also used when we hold official events (like Coop Sunday).
Welcome Shafik!

Re: Attempting a return
My first attempt was unsuccessful. Though my ping was the usual 170-180, I could hardly connect, and when I eventually did, I lagged and desynced badly. I'll keep trying. Sorry if I slowed anyone down during my testing.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others
