If you do not want to answer this directly in the forum you can PM me once the encrytion issue is fixed, thanks.
The root question seems to be along the lines of "How can one get the beta?", to which the answer is - one can't.

Git trackIR 4 'cause it was supposed top be the greatest thing since sliced bread and well..at least in MS FSX it was
Found it a little cumbersome in ArmedA except for the flying of course cause you could look at the ground from all kinds of angles as it came up to smash your chopper.
I'd easily get disoriented and forget which way my gun was pointing while looking around then have to try and find my sights when I brought the weapon up to fire. Anyone else get confused over that?
So,will the new TrackIR software work with the 4. Gonna download it and find out I guess.

Actually i7 can be faster, in theory, but for gaming so far it hasn't been. It shows to run about the same or a bit faster in benchmarks for most current games, depending on the rest of the rig. Remember though that the point of i7 is that it allows for tripple channel RAM, instead of dual like everything else has.

Good news is that ARMA is supposed to be multi-threaded from what the devs have said, so good news for multi-core computers.

Dis, can you leave something like the Task Manager or something in your 2nd monitor and see how much all 4 cores are being used, or if on 2 are. I help lots of people here build computers in the Tech forum, and would really like to know if those that are short on cash can go with a dual core, or if they are really going to want to save up for a quad.

I bought Track IR 4 several months ago and play IL2 Sturmovik with it. I'm looking forward to trying it out with ArmA 2. I'm a bit skeptical of the difference between TrackIR 4 and 5. There has been some added resolution and a slightly better clip for the camera but it seems like it may be a better deal to find someone selling an IR 4. The software certainly looks alot better though.

hehe, I just realized I saw dyslexci's vid on youtube when searching for trackir stuff. didn't realize you were on TG

Yes it kind of sounds like the PS3 and its cpu cell technology. Supposedly really powerful if games are programmed specifically to run in that environment.

Glad to hear it. Once you have some time to play with it, I'd be very interested in hearing your thoughts.

Also - SimHQ put up an interview with NaturalPoint, answers some questions about the TIR5, with particular emphasis on what's different between 4 and 5.

    Interview's available here.
