Re: Operation Minotaur

Yeah, that damn BRDM really hit us independents hard...

Luckily myself and a few others managed to shoot out the tires, which lead the crew to eject from the brdm.

Strangely, later in the mission I had my weapon jam while I was toe-to-toe with an insurgent, after dodging for cover, I found that I could not clear my weapon no matter what I tried(reloading, firing, etc). I ended up having to pick up a weapon from the recently KIA Ace King.

This was my first organized event, I had a great time in this scenario with my squad mates Big64 and Semashko, all in all a great event, I'll defiantly try and jump into future events!

Coming from a pink shirt hater?

Thanks mate. Glad you like what I've done with the document. I think it should be standard for events. But that's just me being fancy.

God, i didnt know that it was that close! I was one of the first guys who mounted the chinook and heard Kimmeh say: "Dont say phew, we are not home yet" or something like that. Nice video, we should make more of them!

And XMaster, that after action report is phenomenal!

Thanks a lot Jeepo, this gives me a chance to see what actually happened. I was too busy scanning my left-front-right to see the spectacular RPG blast... which was really dang close! xD

Very crispy debriefing Xmaster, so pleasant to read too, love the timeline!

Kimmy

P.s. @Rocco: yeah I said "Don't say phew, we are not home yet, we could get hit by an RPG any second now"... kinda scary when you think about it that it actually happened. Dun dun dun. xD

Re: Operation Minotaur

OK guys, I would like to see some input here in a number of ways, firstly, we are all agreed that Xasters briefing was great, I will look at making a template of that. Next, what went wrong/how to improve. Obviously 2iC not getting shot in the face is a big help there.....

And lets see some Ribbon Nominations to whoever you all think warrants them, there is no finer way to show your appreciation than that. So, lets get those rolling!

Is it also possible for non-TG affliated people like me to nominate some TG people for ribbons? And can also non-TG members be nominated?

Nice system, had a read, looks nice. Lovely screenshots too of the indoor fighting!

Re: Operation Minotaur

Jeepo's right. As good as yesterday's event was, there should be lots of people writing ribbon nominations. Here is a link to all the info you need to know about it:

http://www.tacticalgamer.com/tactica...-presentation/

It only takes a couple mins, and there are even links in my sig below my bamboo picture. Please remember to write up a decent one. Not just "Hey, Mr. Doe did awesome yesterday, he deserves a ribbon!" Just say a few sentences about what happened and why they deserve it.

Re: Operation Minotaur

Yes, anyone cane nominate, or be nominated for a ribbon, as long as you have an account here at TG, which everyone did as they had to sign up! Nice pics bamboo, you nearly ground my iPhone to a halt!
