And hopefully that's when we'll be able to start moving on to those large-scale coop (as well as TvT) missions you mentioned. Having access to those would be much appreciated.
After all, Evolution is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ArmA.

I understand completely. Evolution is what ends up getting played on our server during the week a lot of the time. It's a great help to new players, since it puts them into a respawn-enabled, vast environment with a lot of tools and options on how they want to get things done. It's something a fireteam, squad, or even partial platoon can jump into and have something appropriate to their size available to do as a mission.
It's really just the tip of the iceberg, though, as you said.
I'll see about getting some missions to you guys. Who would be the preferred point of contact for that?

Fantastic, and thanks. A PM to any or all of these four folks would work great:

PanzerHans
Shiner

Re: Tuesday 06-26-07 Evolution
The most fun I've had in ArmA to date! I played Tam Lin with Squad 2, though by the time we got to Obregan I had hit some lag and lost sight of everyone but Atlas. So I followed him with my MG and sprayed the hell out of infantry from the hill, then acted as his spotter when my ammo ran out. Thus began our sniping extravaganza.
Now, I've always enjoyed sniping, but Tuesday's game introduced me to my new darling, recon. Atlas and I were always ahead of the platoon, spotting and marking. After Bagango, Pfeiler (our squad leader) told us we'd been an immense help, and it really felt like it was true. So thanks, Pfeiler! It's great to be appreciated.
I'll also mention that we took out a full five or six squads in Masbete before the CQB guys even saw the rooftops. Atlas is a goddamn amazing sniper to work with.

If you were part of the OP that Pfeil put out, then yeah, you were a huge help. You and Atlas provided such great intel around Bagango that we were able to get a good idea of the enemy disposition and shift the entire platoon appropriately before the assault. It worked out great.
Thanks for the top-notch reconnoitering!

I also had a lot of fun, and yes, that was us dossing around in the house waiting for a dustoff, but we earned it, hell of an assault on the city, took it with minimal casualties, and hooked up with Khan's squad on the bridge! I love this game!

Yup, we were OP2. I've never had the chance to see a platoon in full force before since I've been playing at squad-level with SimHQ. It was fine sight to see your plans changing for the situation. Intel's only as useful as you gents in command can make it!

Re: Tuesday 06-26-07 Evolution
That was certainly a great session. After pulling guard duty for Khan's squad, I moved up into the leader's position and had a blast working with everyone in Squad 2. Once we got out of that bullet magnet called a Stryker, of course.

This little addition proves how useful you guys were
Offensive Operations
Just a quick heads-up for scout units. Remember that fire code is red (hold fire) by default. Your primary duty is to provide intel. You shouldnt engage enemy unless ordered by PL/SL.

I would be very interested in missions allowing my unit to operate as a mechanized infantry squad. That's something I love in Evolution. It doesnt force you to start with a restricted setup. Be whatever you want to be.
