I left that a open ended question on purpose. It could be a Mod running, TvT or something that is not mentioned.

Re: Password Server(s)
In the past, I experienced the problems of 2 almost identical servers with another game. #1 would fill up and have a waiting list while #2 was empty all the time. Nobody wanted to go start server #2 while everyone else had fun on server #1. Thats because both servers were basically the same.
Now with ArmA, we have options. small, big, pvp, coop, respawn, no-respawn. I would suggest make #2 the complete opposite of #1. If #1 is a large server, make #2 a small one. That'll make me a happy camper! I like smaller missions better.

Re: Password Server(s)
For the PW'd server perhaps we could mix it up a little. We could have a persistant game one week, the next left to individual missions, etc.
Since people need a PW, I think emphasis must be placed on their committment to team play. By using the PW server they agree to play to the standards we expect. Maybe we could only allow server access to those that sign up on the forums? Personally I'd want to play with people that are signed up and reading the posts we put up. The content we provide in our posts emphasises the spirit at TG and gives people a heads-up of what is expected of them.

Re: Password Server(s)
we could also make people watch a video that explains the rules to get the password, like is done for password night on the PR server...

I like both of your suggestions. Some of the other style of missions are very rewarding when played with the same approach as a standard COOP. I know I've had good games in persistent missions with Jex and a handful of regs that held teamwork and tactics first before the scoreboard. I really believe if we do move to a passworded server that has other options then gameplay should be held to a different standard. Not only some kind of requirement to get on, but like PW nights in the BF2 series much less tolerance for any kind of infraction. The other types of missions have a big down side in that they can be abused, so we add these types of missions we will need different requirements.

Re: Password Server(s)
I would like to see one server running ACE when it comes out, I think that is the obvious choice...

Re: Password Server(s)
I'm for having both passworded but one would suffice. The recent problems with uncoordinated missions and all that has been one of the reasons I haven't been playing the past couple of weeks.

Re: Password Server(s)
I agree. I really don't care to play on the public server anymore. Too much complaining, nothing gets done, and a majority of time is spent waiting around. I'd rather play Evo than wait for people to grow up and listen. Nobody follows the TG ideals. It's a free-for-all.

Re: Password Server(s)
I don't see why we aren't kicking people who won't play. A voted admin does have the power to kick those player types (#kick idiot )
If we don't start policing the server to our way of playing then it will just turn into another pubby server. It's a pity we can't give SM's the admin login for the game as deputy's

See that goes back to this game sucking as a pub game. For an admin to stop in game to enforce can actually be very counter productive to a mission. If there were a good out of game admin control I think there would be a lot more policy enforcement.

Played Evo last night on the TG Server with password protection. All TG guys playing the TG way - end result, great game, great time and much enjoyment.

Can we get a timeline for when a decision will be made on this?

Re: Password Server(s)
Sure. Server 2 (2312) will be passworded. Server 1 will remain public.
