RULES: Tactical Gamer Basic Rules and Procedures


Tactical Gamer Primer
Tactical Gamer was founded with a few very simple principles:

1) Create an environment conducive for mature gamers to enjoy the games they play without the everyday interference from the less-than-mature gamers.

2) Create an environment where there was mutual respect for your fellow gamers and where all members would be working together to advance the enjoyment of their hobby.

3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine, regardless of the level of advantage, if any, it gives over the opposing team.

Player Standards
All players, whether participating on the Tactical Gamer forums or playing on the Tactical Gamer servers, are expected to abide by the Player Standards.


Basic Rules of Conduct
All players, whether participating on the Tactical Gamer forums or playing on the Tactical Gamer servers, are expected to abide by the Basic Rules of Conduct.


Reporting a Problematic Player
Follow this procedure when you've encountered a problematic player on any Tactical Gamer server. Additionally, for Armed Assault in particular, be sure to include the problematic player's ArmA Player ID when making your report.

To obtain a player's ArmA Player ID, type the word #userlist (with the pound sign) into the in-game chat system. A list of the players on the server will appear, along with the ArmA Player ID of each (typically a six- to twelve-digit number). Record the appropriate ArmA Player ID and include it with your report.

Alternatively, you can view a list of players connected to the server by pressing your 'P' key (by default); record the appropriate ArmA Player ID from this list.


Contacting an Admin
Follow this procedure when you need to locate and contact an appropriate admin.

What to do if you have been Banned
If you have been kicked or banned from the Tactical Gamer Armed Assault servers, do not start a thread in the forums. Send a Private Message (PM) to only one of our admins and tell him the in-game name you were using at the time, as well as your ArmA Player ID. Preferably, you will have seen the name of the admin who banned you when you were kicked, so it is best to PM the admin who banned you. Normally you will receive a response within 24 hours.
