Re: New player? Questions
May I recommend to anyone new to ArmA, or even tactical shooters the following advise...
1. RTFM (for at least the basics of the game) 2. Read the following, in order: http://www.simhq.com/_land2/land_074a.html http://www.simhq.com/_land2/land_076a.html http://www.simhq.com/_land2/land_077a.html http://www.simhq.com/_land2/land_078a.html http://www.simhq.com/_land2/land_084a.html and for more info and extra credit: http://dslyecxi.com/armattp.html 3. Then join a co-op game here at Tactical Gamer, especially if there playing a mission from the SimHQ pack.. join as either a rifleman or machine gunner in one of the fireteams, notice what team your in (alpha, bravo, charlie etc etc), and who your fireteam leader is... then never leave his side and do exactly what he tells you... don't worry about nothing else or anyone else... be his shadow... in no time you will learn, then one day you'll jump into that team leader spot, when new privates arrive at TG. Thats how it works, the best way... and the real Army way! Welcome virtual soldier.

Re: New player? Questions
Well, I finally got a little taste of a mission thanks to the help of a TG member. He was a sniper and I was the spotter. After some long distance running, we engaged a pilot, but on the way to the extraction, we were both taken down. I must say that this was an interesting experience. Hopefully, my future missions will last longer. I'll see you all around.
