Basic Leaders Course

I am in a poll like mood lately, so here is another...

Would you be interested in attending a course taught by TG on leadership and tactics?

Before everybody say ok, understand that this is a bit of work to organize and we want some type of commitment that you will show up to attend.

I would be willing to arraign this for a 1 -1.5 hour block of instruction, say at the beginning of one of our Sunday Events. That would mean, one weekend we would make the 1st hour a learning module so everyone here could better themselves with more knowledge and than contribute back to the game.

For those of you that attended the excellent one taught by TGU here, it will be similar in format, over TeamSpeak with some type of handouts. We can than take it to a practical lesson with the event.

I would check this out. It's always interesting to hear how other people teach leadership.

Re: Basic Leaders Course

Interested, very.
Bearing in mind the UK time lag. Friday/ Weekends best for me.

Would it be possible to break the time period down into smaller chunks of say 30 to 45mins @ a time instead of the suggested 1 to 1.5hr block.
Not totally sure how the content would fit this time frame.

Re: Basic Leaders Course

Yes, I would most definitely like to attend. I've been away for almost a year now and would like to get back into ArmA again.

Question, how many players will you take for the first lesson and will it be first come first served or will you have to signed up for the duration? Will the support members knock out of the list nonsupport members?

Re: Basic Leaders Course

I'd be all for it but sometimes Sundays can be bad... usually Saturday afternoon/evening works a little better.

Re: Basic Leaders Course

I'm interested but can't commit to a schedule. If it is allowed to hop in occasionally I would certainly be interested.

Re: Basic Leaders Course

I would be very interested especially since i have not used the tutorial in ArmA yet to see what it is like to be a team leader. But I want to see what the different aspects of this role is like and how it can be used in a proficient manner.

Sunday's would be great since the COOP event is played on sunday but I would like to stress that the server be ready and playable before the leadership course takes place, I know in a whole ArmA for some reason makes playing on servers tougher, and I know the ArmA admins do a great job, but as Shafik and the rest of the participants in yesterday's arma even knows, we encountered problems in the beginning and really didn't get off the ground until over an hour into the COOP event.

But nevertheless I am very much interested in learning how to be a decent SL in ArmA.

Re: Basic Leaders Course

I have my sunday evenings reserved for ArmA. Unless it's before 16h00 est, I'll be there.

BTW, some basic grunt combat behaviour course would be nice as well. you know, formations, group mouvement, battle drills, etc... But I tought someone mentionned there was someone working on that already.

Re: Basic Leaders Course

I cannot participate this sunday due to a prior event, but hopefully the next time this is offered I would be very interested in attending.
