We could make a test mission and get input from everyone here on how they do things and then collate it to make a definitive document.
I would love to help to in making a "Flying Guide to ArmA" Also I should of mention I also have Falcon 4.0 Allied Forces.

Thanks for the info. Going to practice here at work using VBS2

I don't think anyone's ever taken the test but perhaps we could add a few more items to the exam? Combat landings and autorotation spring to mind.

Re: Helicopter Guru

Well jex and I got together today and after figuring out how to use TS I was able to talk to jex and we used his mission that he made for flying and it was great. jex explain to me the fine art of flying and after riding around with him for awhile it was my turn and guess what happen, yes you guess it, I crashed after bragging to him that I was flying at work, After getting my composer back I was flying You will have to ask jex how I did, in fact he was enjoying just siting in as the copilot because he could watch the scenery flyby. Now to practice taxiing down the runway with only 10 feet from the ground and maintaining 20 knots speed without drifting to much left or right.

i wouldn't even bother with auto-rotation...unless i'm wrong, in which case someone please show me how, auto-rotation in this sim is next to useless. worked on it a few times with others with no success. what i would suggest is maybe practicing tactical touch down/touch off...3 sec on ground max. also, start working on building insertions. come in low and slow, flare up and touch down on rooftops. great for inserting a second team when clearing a major building/getting scout/sniper teams into position in an urban AO

Auto-rotation is possible if the conditions are right and you spot the engine failure before its too late. I'm not sure you can put a time limit on touch downs because you'd lift off after the last man has exited the chopper. With rooftop insertions you need to consider that a lot of buildings in arma (unfortunately) have no way down once you're on them.
