Like the new units except the us woodland units are a joke only a rifleman and a medic.

It takes about five minutes of mission editing work to make AR, AAR, MMG, AT, AA, etc variants from those two units. If that's "a joke" to you, well...

I played around for a while today on the warfare mode today.. And I gotta say it is pretty awesome. Once TG learns the game mode more I think there will be a lot of depth and strategies into this mode.

I am hoping we will get some full 16vs16 human games going someday. AI seems to play huge role, and they are a little frustrating at times.

Three squads manage cities' defenses, and artillery duty. 4 squads can be on the offense. And then Commander's job is to set up defenses in the bases make sure the structures are manned by his AI and move up to build forward bases. After about 3,4 cities enough income comes in to build several bases so your squads can reinforce easily, and it keeps the enemy guessing where the HQ is located.

The mode can be learned pretty fast after one read of the PDF and couple of hours in game. Plus let us try to help the new guys out by explaining to them the new things that are introduced.

Yeah but they should have done that they made all of them for the new USMC units could have done it for woodland too. I just think it looks a little sloppy is all in my opinion.

Hi guys, I got ArmA when it came out but was a very disapointed there was no team on team play. I now came across this combat operations and warfare information. Have ArmA taken a first step toward team vs team and games that last 4-5 hours or less?

I really liked the way things worked in Arma, and the changes sounds good on paper.

Yes and Yes. It's a playable form of TvTvT (cause there's AI on each team)...and you can play anything from 20minute to 4-5 hours. It's a lot more ala carte playing style. You contribute to your team but at the same time, it's not a huge handicap if you have to leave midway into the game. So it seems to work effectively with a wider audience.

Is anyone else seeing a lot of stability issues with this? Everything from losing connections to server to repeatedly being crashed to desktop.

Im done with warfare for a while. It's way too buggy and unstable. Get about 20 minutes of solid play for every 60 minutes of problems.

Psst... Most of the problems people are having are client side. All the MODs are what are causing the issues. I have tested several setups, MODs and no MODs. What is causing a lot of the issues are people running 10 MODs when connecting. This can account for the slow server performance and instability all around, especially when someone connects.

Try taking off some of the MODs you all are running and you might be surprised how well the new patch runs, especially Warfare.

Ya, I've tried that but still get nailed with the slow connections b/c of other people's mods. The best servers I've been on were ones that were no-mod-only and I haven't seen any of them today unfortunately.

In the short term I'm hoping more servers go no-mod-only until the community determines a long term solution.
