I'm really looking forward to ArmA; I just hope there are still folks at TG who will play this game when it's released in the US and UK. It seems like the tactical sim crowd has grown quite thin here at TG, which is frustrating.

If the game is a good product, I think you'll see more people come out of the woodwork. All I play right now are battlefield games, but I'm eagerly watching this game to see how it plays out.

I own GRAW and enjoyed it, but the multiplayer coop experience, which is all I was excited about, was not what I hoped. The gunplay in the GRAW engine is awesome - but the way the A.I. cheats on the difficultly level that the TG server has (had?) made the game unrealistic and boring to me.

I became bored with BF2 and 2142 (in fact I uninstalled both). I've been replaying OFP using the FFUR 2006 2.5 mod and the game is just off the hook. I forgot how huge the spaces are and how smart (IMO) the AI is. I've been stuck on this one mission for 2 days. I just can't get past the Ruskies they keep shooting me dead.

I'll order it when I get home today. Glad that the download finally finished and all is well, besides the bugs. I can deal with those.

Good timing too, wifey out of town next 4 days. That means a lot of gaming in my underwear and trips to the firing range!

Yes, thumbs way up for ease of download and purchase. I patched it with the German-to-English patch and it's working fine. Graphics are very nice. Will play more tonight when I get home.

I'm ordering day 1 when it is released in the US. I loved single player OFP and used to make custom missions for it. Looking forward to have TG for multiplayer this go round.

Unfortunately it seems you can't use the same copy of the German downloaded version of the game for both a server and a client. I burned through all my activations already and the last one was assigned to the server. Looks like I either need to buy a second copy for home and/or wait until the dedi server is released.

What sucks is that when I get home tonight I won't be able to play as I'm sure my client will want to re-activate and there are no more activations left.

Hopefully Placebo can help you out. I believe it only allows 2 activations which isn't that many. I reinstall Windows every six months so I'm going to be in trouble myself.

It wouldn't hurt to drop BiS a line and let them know your issue.

It's actually 3. I didn't think running the server required the activation. I also didn't realize that when I activate on another machine it invalidates the original activation.

I sent Placebo a PM, maybe he can help or has some insight.

Yea, that is interesting. You would think that wouldn't matter since it'll still be checking the key online. Didn't he say the dedicated server would hopefully be out in a few days? I'm holding out hope you get everything fixed up for this weekend.

Well, the server is good to go. If I have to buy another copy for my client, so be it. But I would prefer not to be forced to go that route.
