That is some great follow-up and I appreciate the write-ups Bucc! It looks like I will go ahead with the sprocket version this Friday. I want to have this game to play over the holiday break in 2 weeks.

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
Have only been messing about with training missions - but I know I am going to enjoy this sim for a very, very long time!
Turbo. After you have finished the download. The installer is actually in C:/Documents and Settings/Your docs/Desktop. I burned that to DVD (2.59Gb) using Nero. And used it to install the game earlier. So yes, just copy the entire installer. |

Thanks Buccaneer. The game is pretty bad ass and it has endless possibilities just like OFP did with all the mods and missions that will be made down the road.

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
I find this frustrating. I purchased the game from Sproket, and have my key and all, but I can't download it. The downloader just tells me that there was a login error and to try another server.

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
I feel your frustration Jep.
If this is any help. My contact this morning at Sprocket customer support was Martin. email: support@idea-games.com Reading between the lines of their email this morning, it would appear Sprocket are trying to sort the snags out. They wouldnt stop apologising for the delay. I know it doesnt help you at the moment, but grit your teeth for a little while longer. |

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
Well it took 10 days but I finally got everything I need to install and play the game. I got a link to the downloader utility today and downloaded ArmA this evening. Took about 100 Minutes for 2.7 GB - not bad.
I'm all set it seems. See you on the server soon.

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
Hello all,
Another Sprocket problem here I'm afraid. Firstly, I recieved my confirmation email almost immediately. But No CD Key though. Then Sprocket app connects at a very nice speed and says my download will be with me in 3 Hours. excellent. But, At arount 83 - 85 percent download, it seems to knock out my D-Link router, which has then to be restarted. Sprocket then reconnects and starts to resume the download, but stops with a MD5 Bad Checksum Error. Then the app goes into a loop of checking and giving error. I can only restart the download by removing the arma.exe file and starting whole process again. This has happened a couple of times now. We have never had this hang problem occour with the router before and I regularly download Gigs and Gigs of stuff. Also I can't risk the disconnection of other users on the network again, as they are already grumpy about the downtime already caused today. (Perhaps the router cant cope with the sheer speed of the download?, as I have never had such a good connection speed as I have with sprocket!) Understandably, I'm a bit miffed as I'm 26 pounds down, with nowt to show for it, except some grumpy network users. Any advice as what to do? Rgds OrLoK Oh Btw, the payment was with a mastercard, not paypal ![]() |

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
Hello,
OK, I have emailed the support at idea games as highlighted in that thread. why is it a different support email, not the sprocket one btw? Although I did recieve another copy of my confirmation email, but no key, just the exact one I had before. Odd. Fingers Crossed, it'll be sorted soon. I'll keep you posted Rgds LoK |

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
Good evening Orlok and welcome to TG.
I'm not sure why the email is different. But if you read this entire thread, you will see the frustration I (and Polish, and Jep) were having with our downloads. The support@idea-games.com, email was the one that was provided to me as a direct link for trouble-shooting the download. Martin was my contact, and he was very helpful. www.softwrap.com - You can use their "contact us" page to submit a query to them if required (they were v.helpful too) Sproket/Softwrap know who you are via your purchase details, so no problems there. Just grit your teeth a little bit longer, and I am sure they will help you out. |
