Well,
I have come a step further. The Sprocket downloader decided to resume an earlier download. (at less than every 1pc of the file download, it would give the md5 error and then try to reconnect for a while, eventually resume with less than another percent then again give an error... etc etc ad nauseum) Oh also it crashed me D-link another 4 or 5 times. which took time to re set up. (not blaming anyone for that, but D-Links are common and are known to have a history with ultra fast downloads) But..... It finished the download! Splendid! Oh except, still no key, and a full working day gone... Not great support at the moment. I DO understand that people are busy and that this is a new operation, but if thats the case then support should be upmost at this time, shouldn't it? On a positive note, the download (if it hadnt crashed so often etc etc), would have been super quick. (almost a gig an hour!) At real world speeds thats exceptional, in my book, for home or SOHO users. Also the credit card transaction went through without a hitch. and was relativly painless. Get the system sorted to a level where you get it all (Key included) within a few hours and someone to email you back if you contact support and I'll get some more customers for Arma. My few Penneth worth. Still, I cant wait for me cd key ![]() Got to admin i Love the demo, and although its not quite the step up from VBS1 or a modded OFP that I would have hoped, Arma is still (and will become) great. Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
Hello all
The next step on the journey.... Tonight, I recieved this email (snip) Please note that your purchase reference is used as the 'CD key'. You will be pleased to know that we have included your License Holder Name and Purchase Reference Number in the email. Kindly use the following details (copy and paste) to re-install the software: License Holder Name: Name Last Name Purchase Reference Number: x-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (snip) I have edited the name and numbers out but have kept the numeric count the same, as well as salutations etc etc. I tried this out, but I cant get arma to recognise this number. 1) wrong layout compared to arma install 2) Incorrect Length. I know I may have to enter these details in at a later stage to confirm the legality of me product. Or am I doing something wrong? rgds LoK Last edited by Orlok; 01-05-2007 at 03:43 PM. |

I was reading the "Sprocket Troubleshooting thread" over at the BIS Forum, link as follows: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bi...T;f=68;t=55705 Someone who posted there, Installed the download, then patched to v1.02, then activated the game. Maybe you could try that? |

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
hello there,
Had a peek at that thread, looks like lots of folk in a similar boat. Unfortunatly, I cannot install anything as when i click on armacze.exe the first thing it asks for is the CD-Key. If I dont enter anything it closes the operation down. Other folk, in that thread you pointed out, seemed to have a similar problem to myself and the folks that recieved the key had an entirely new sentence in their email referring to the CD-Key. Ho Hum... If you do get a chance to have a peek at your email, i'd appreciate it, but dont worry too much ![]() Rgds LoK |

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
My email containing the CD Key came from support@idea-games.com (Martin) - The confirmatory email is supposed to come from Softwrap (according to this email)
CD-Key is 1 x 4, 4 x 5 digit alphanumeric key: ####-#####-#####-#####-##### This is what you need to continue Lok. |

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
I purchase ArmA from Sprocket about a month ago. I installed it on my old PC. But I just got a new PC last week. Anyone know how to get it on my new PC? Sprocket doesn't let you download it more than once, which is kind of weird.

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
Hi DG
Not sure once you have installed it. I burned my download to DVD prior to installing (it was only 2.5Gb in its uncompressed state). The installed program is 4.58Gb. You could try zipping the folder (Bohemia Interactive) to DVD and try re-installing the game from that? You will find the game in :C/Program Files/Bohemia Interactive |

Just wrote a mammoth post to Buccaneer and DG. Blasted system wouldnt let me post urls (under 15 posts) and lost all me hard written text. ok, summary...... 1) Buccaneer : Yup thought so, already emailed em that info. Still no reply. Ta so much for confirming I'm not a loon. 2) DG: Did some tests, looked at sproket log, looks like you cannot download the install file more than once, without contacting someone. Burn the armacze.exe to disk if you still have it. As Buccaneer says it's about 2.7gig. Hope this helps rgds LoK |

Re: Czech Armed Assault's now available on Sprocket
Hello there
apologies for my terse reply above, I do really appreciate all and any assistance. Just, I wrote half a novel with examples from the sprocket log etc etc which took me about half an hour (to try to assist and give relevant info) so I was a bit frustrated when I lost the whole lot. But as an old admin to a large BBS I understand the limiting of certain privilages to stop trolls etc in infecting the board. Thanks again to Bucaneer and lets hope we helped DG with his prob. I DO want to be a useful contributing member of TG, especially as all the folk here seem to be quite "adult" (young or old) in their opinions and advice. Again apologies if came over a bit short in me replies. I do realise that the majority of my postings here have been a bit negative, but its only because i am so damn keen to get started with Arma (and the fact the buggers got me money )But unless we let people know the difficulties that crop up, then the folks involved will never know that there may be problems. Call it positive critisism ![]() rgds LoK
